Will there ever be a real challenger for USA in basketball? They just waltz in the court...
49 straight wins (6 gold medals). the next longest streak all time they said was like 16 games. I'm not sure there's anything closer to a guaranteed gold Thats the men's team though. Womens basketball outside the US is a meme compared to the WNBA, at least in Europe men have the Euroleague to pump serious money into the sport. The women's team is the one with the longest win streak. Men lost in 04 OK, looked it up and your mens team has a 51 win streak (they lost against Greece in 2006), got them mixed up. Women have a longer gold streak Oh ok. The streak for the women I saw I think is just for Olympic Games while the men must include the FIBA World Championship too

Croatia shouldn't be able to make it up unless Serbia goes to sleep

Gold gold gold!!!!
We bloody did it! European champions, World champions and now Olympic champions, what a generation!!!

Congrats to Serbia!
Btw, if this game goes to overtime, Germany is very likely to beat Brazil once again...

No. Probably 10x more money in US basketball than all the other countries combined. Probably 20x the interest in the sport as well.
(Which sums up a lot of popular North American sports, actually)

Its none, actually. They play 2 extra times of 15 minutes each, if the tie persists, then penalty shotouts.

I thought the only abnormal rule was the 4th sub. I'm wrong. It's standard extra time. Some of my friends call it silver goal for some reason so I forget it's not actually that

They should have just gone penalties after 90min in the end.
