Great performance in 7s but that team sprint medal is just a steal. I'm a bit disappointed to see that track cycling like this.
How do you mean, a steal? Fiji are damn scary. Let's see how it goes!
Absolutely rekt, haha.

Because the competition is still interesting regardless. It's not like the fact that many athletes are doping makes for poor viewing. It just sucks from an integrity standpoint that you're more or less 'punished' for trying to compete honestly.

There's a lot of shitty side effects of large international events like this - doping, political shitshows, complaints about venues, general bad blood. Prevent those when you can, but realize that they are part of the event and don't react with a disproportionate outrage that ruins things for everyone.

My god that rugby final, those players from Fiji are monster.
Amazing for them, a well deserve first medal.

Congrats Fiji! This Olympics has rally opened up my eyes to Rugby.
I'll still prefer NFL over Rugby, but this is a damn awesome sport that I'll try to start following.

I don't see too many people acting with outrage. In the places I do, it's where people see large scale potential mass cheating. That, to me, is a reasonable thing to be upset over.

Gold at women's team epee, Romania's first medal. Feel bad for US, the match against them was by far the hardest but they only finished 5th cause we met in the quarterfinals.
The flying point near the end of the final was incredible, top right here:
Edit, better photo of the jump touch:

Congrats. I was sad today to realise that Larisa Iordache was injured my favourite gymnast.

90% of the booing is just for fun, there is no real hatred behind it, I can guarantee that.

yea. but otherwise it seems all fun. Considering athletes that got boo'ed where cheered on when they won / after the match etc.

|
Hosszu is so fucking strong and resilient

US has so many swimmers, doesnt even matter that franklin had a bad race or season
|

poor lochte, i think its the blonde hairs fault.

Pffffff, the more I see Phelps the less I belive he is clean. Could be wrong but that dosen't seems possible.

How the fuck can Brazilian swimmers have such low resilience?
Every Single Time
Brazilian swimmers die in the last 15 meters. Is there any other explanation than bad training? "resources" doesn't work, because government invested a ton of money in swimming and judo these olympics.
Edit: I firmly believe we will close this olympics with the worst host performance in history.

Pretty sure he gets tested all the time. Gotta believe it until proven otherwise!

A lot of 4th and 5th place for them
Could be the team strategy to give all at the start and then try to keep the lead. The best swimmers sometime do the opposite and keep resource for the last 30-20 meters to do a last push.

phelps proably has samples frozen and tested for the next 20 years so unless the americans have the CIA change the samples, you would hear about him cheating.
