400m men's freestyle was exciting too. Felt bad for the British guy who went hard too early.

I figured allowing forward passes would probably ruin the game, but I kind of wanted to see some dimes dropped in the endzone once in awhile lol.

Some of their bullshit so far: 1. Apparently tried to petition the Olympic committee to change the order of the parade of nations from alphabetical Portuguese to alphabetical English 2. Showed the opening ceremony on a time delay (presumably to add more commercials and edit North Korea out of the parade) 3. When Djibouti came out during the parade they make a 'check out ya booty' joke 4. Put little green yellow and red arrows next to the scores in Gymnastics to indicate if a score is good or bad or so-so, presumably because their viewers are too dumb to read a scoreboard 5. Whitewashed the Colonization part of the opening performance piece by referring to this part of Brazil's history as "immigration" 6. Skipped talking about several nations altogether to discuss the play "Hamilton" Did I mention the shit commentary and endless commercials?

Spend the $8 for Tunnelbear and use CBC (Canada), that's my recommendation, I've been very happy with the coverage here, and very happy with Tunnelbear too. You get 500MB to try using before you need a paid account. @TheFish7 What, I have yet to watch a single commercial with adblock enabled... o.o The only commercials I end up seeing are the ones on the dedicated TV channels.

You can watch EVERY SINGLE EVENT that is played at the olympics. Every single one, every single heat, every single piece of video footage exists on the CBC website if you're in Canada. We get the main feed from all the events that the entire world gets, and we get them completely unfiltered. Only if you watch the dedicated shows that hop around events on TV are you limited with what you see. People are complaining for no fucking reason. So they have to show local news everyday and have to show the Olympics on tape delay afterwards. If you use NBC online and sign up with your cable account you have access to everything. Move with the times, watch online, and see everything ![]()

Well they are all saved, so you can watch everything once you get home as well. Or you can connect a $300 dollar laptop with the stream with an HDMI cable to your TV... There's just so many solutions to have a service 100x better than watching it on TV. And I'm truly don't think there's many people out there, especially ones who visit teamliquid, that have the single option of only watching it on TV. My mom is watching it on her iPad, I can watch on my phone, or I can cast it from my phone to my TV, laptop, desktop, HDMI to TV, have a pure audio stream instead of music (at work), etc. I suppose if you're work in some customer service where there are TV's for the customers, then yes, that is one of the exceptions, but even that I think most people could circumvent. Either way, apologies, I didn't mean to get so aggressive, you're right that there's a few people who have no choice but to use the TV, but I felt (and still think), that it's an overwhelming minority (at least the people here, which is where the advice was pointed towards).

Anyway CDC is not available in my region. Trust me Canadians, I would love nothing more than to leech off of your taxpayer funded stuff but I don't feel like setting up a VPN right now? Or is there a better way to watch I don't know about?

Or is there a better way to watch I don't know about? Setting up a VPN takes about 3 minutes, so "I don't feel like setting up a VPN right now" is an odd thing to say... But you can easily just find a schedule and use free streaming sites to watch everything in 360p or so, but it's more tedious, and lower quality. And you have to keep finding new streams for the other events.
