However, the Grey Cup is more like the rock concert atmosphere though and its ticket prices were just cut in half. anecdotally, i know ~10 guys who went to UFC 129. ~2 who went to the Jon Jones headlined PPVs in TO in 2012 and 2013. Currently, zero are going to UFC 206 and no one is interested.
I agree the hype isn't there at all right now, but not sure how much I'd attribute that to Toronto being burned out (I'm just speculating, I don't live there).
The card right now does suck. It seems like all the media attention has been on McGregor, Diaz, GSP, and Aldo... And it just really crowded out all the marketing for everyone else. All the belts have switched hands, so no champion that has had some time in the spotlight... Silva has lost so much hype due to his steroid usage, GSP leaving, Jon Jones gone, Cain was pretty hype too, Weidman was fairly liked... Lawler was mediocre liked, but nobody likes Tyron lol... Rousey being out of the loop. Currently women's straight weight is as exciting as watching Might Mouse fight for a lot of people.
None of these other guys are getting promoted, like who's even the 2nd biggest draw the promotion currently has not tied in with the McGregor fiasco (someone who is an actual competitor, and not one who only fights because he was good a long time ago)? DC? Donald Cerrone? Cain? Weidman? Bisping? RdA?... I think plenty of these guys have potential to become really big draws, but they aren't being marketed well imo.

UFC 207 is getting a 2nd title fight. Cruz v. Garbrandt. They're stacking 205 and 207. and UFC 206 is getting the 201 treatment. 201 had a gate of a little over a million.
Unless a new long term Canadian champ with a great image comes along again Toronto can't generate a big gate. Thus, Its a good strategy by the UFC.

All in a day of how the UFC turns. bisping gets ppv points ofc he'll agree to fight a smaller guy

bisping is just yapping because he knows its not possible to set up a fight with GSP @ UFC 206.

welp, the UFC added a decent fight to UFC 206.

outside of the floor seats... the ticket prices are similar to a Saturday night Maple Leaf's game. its a smart move by the UFC; just convince Leafs fans to spend the same money on Saturday night that they normally would at a hockey game; and there is no skating between fights.

And I'm sure tempting for GSP because he would never have a better chance to win the middle weight belt than while Bisbing holds it. Damn under armor and Rebok should sort there shit out. Like Put GSP on the "Dana white" exempt list or something lol. i'm sure everyone else is on the new reebok contract anyways reebok plz give the ok and let gsp wear under armor for the remainder of his contract

Jones is eligible to return to fighting July 6, 2017. He still has an NSAC hearing so it could be after July 6,2017.
welp, Jon Jones got a 1 year ban from USADA which is the max. it'll be interesting to see if NSAC chooses to go with 2 years due to USADA handing out the max. So much for all that yap from Jon Jones about how everything was going to work out. He needs to stop listening to his slimebucket handlers who only tell him what he wants to hear.
So much for Jon Jones coach running around to 5000 supplement stores desperately seeking tainted consumer products. 2 different banned substances in his system; these 2 substances compliment each other during a steroid cycle; he is going to have a hard time convincing NSAC it was all a freak accident.
Edit: this sounds more like "my dog ate my home work"
"According to Jones' arguments, he later found out the pill was not Cialis, but another form of tadalafil that Blasich had purchased from AllAmericanPeptide.com."
