I get the thinking Mcgregor is a big enough name to create the buys but then at least put a bunch of young and exciting guys. A lot of casuals are going to get a bad impression of the UFC. Tge main event better deliver and not to quickly or there is a lot of people who won't be repeat customers. Yeah I've not heard of a single one of the guys in the prelims and the main card is full of the same old guys fighting new blood again. You never know when a card will turn out to be full of great fights though.

In 2020 in most North American sports ..if a competitor who is an admitted criminal had 2 sexual assault accusations hanging over him would he be permitted to compete? Dana White seems to be the spiritual successor to the late Al Davis. Grasso weighed in at 121.5 lbs or 5.5 lbs above the non-title fight straw-weight limit. ouch.

Bloody Elbow provides an interesting , albeit somewhat overly sensationalized perspective... https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2020/1/16/21068608/conor-mcgregor-ufc-sexual-assault-allegations-crime-mma-feature-news where is Molly Qerim when we need her? LOL.

Everything else is either dismissed or ongoing. I would understand if there was a PR issue from the UFC/Dana White and they would get rid of him, but as long as he's not convicted, no reason that Conor himself would not be permitted to fight. They removed the fight too, great. And the card get's even weaker. The only concerning legal trouble McGreggor has is the sexual assault accusation. Even the punching a guy thing seemed like child like stupidity. But with his money and profile it becomes a big deal in the media.

Dana White's mama didn't raise no fools. The way Dana was beaming at the press conference it looked like his wife just had twins.
