I thought DC opened up perfectly and thought he was styling on Stipe hard. I feel like DC landed 30+ punches that should have had a 50%+ KO rate lol. After seeing that it wasn't certain he was going to knock Stipe even if he keeps landing those, I'm surprised he didn't try going into the clinch, and push harder for the takedowns. I'm sure there's a reason for it, and I guess it's hard to predict someone being able to eat that many punches from a heavyweight. I thought he handedly won the first 3 rounds though, his corner did him a disservice telling him 2 and 3 were question marks, maybe made DC take unnecessary risks. Was happy to see Diaz back, him vs Jorge would be great. Wish he got the finish he was so close to, but was a nice scrap. As for Romero vs Costa, I had it 29-28 for Costa just like the judges. He's like the new Romero. Would love to see him face Gastelum before getting a title shot. Still feel like he has some holes in his game that another fight would help him before being fed to a shark like Whittaker (who outboxed Romero with one hand). | ||

And Stipe vs Jones, yes please. If he won't go to HW, and Stylebender beats Whittaker, then do Jones vs him, I'm all over that too. In that case Whittaker vs Costa would make a lot of sense. Oof, so many options for amazing fights. | ||
