At least its 3-3 now They could have easily scored 10 this game, but to be fair they hit the woodwork 4 times. And still a nice comeback, 0-3 must have been quite the shock. Yeah i am happy they pulled it back but even though Odds played good, winning 4-3 is nothing BVB can be proud of^^ glad they showed moral and won though. They really have to fix their scoring :/ but it's been like this since forever so i expect nothing to change^^ On August 21 2015 05:47 Maenander wrote: That performance in the beginning sure was Castro's way of saying I'd rather sit on the bench than play right back. haha, good one he is pretty good on 6 but as a defender... well this game didn't really qualify him for doing that again He played quite a few matches as lb/rb during his career and that was something talked about quite a lot during the last months. Apparently he talked to Tuchel about that and it was clear that he will be played as a midfielder. Now with all the injuries/lack of match fitness on that position he had to do it and most fans will inteprete his performance as being pissed instead of having a bad day or playing out of position and bad as a result. I knew he was doing it at Leverkusen for some games but was he really that good on that position? The games i cought were decent but nothing mindblowing. Maybe it was just a bad day but i hope Pisczec is back soon so there won't be any discussion Edit: Obviously i dont think he was playing bad on purpose, i dont think he would do that + it would ruin all his chances to play again I'm not too sure about his recent past but reading posts here and there it seems that lots of Leverkusen fans would tell you that for long parts of his career he made a fine job as a defender but he has his off-days which is also true for Hummels. Both having a bad start definitely did not help today. As I said earlier I wouldn't bet on Pisczcek making a difference. He seemed extremely off during the last months. In addition having such a weak right side made Kampl look bad. I understand the critics who say that he runs a lot without having an impact but quite a few times he drew the opponents defenders into the center but there was nobody behind him to profit from the space he created whereas Schmelzer is always present when needed on the left. While it is okay and standard that one side is stronger and more impactful we'd ideally want a better rb. Hummels normally fills the role of the left cb which leads to the left side being dominant. When both the right cb and the rb have absolutely no impact that'll be a problem at some point during the season. Looking at the dominant style we've shown during the first games I'd totally trust Durm and Kirch to play the rb we need but they aren't here at the moment. Might be true, yeah, never watched a lot of Leverkusen games so i cant confirm or deny^^ Pisczcek is decent in my eyes although after his half year break in 2013, where he was possibly the best rb in the world, he never hit his super prime again. I still like him although he is often not very good on the offence part. I'd support giving Durm or Kirch a chance, not sure if they really are going to consider Kirch since supposedly he is one that is free to go if he finds another club. But we will see. As you mentioned, it is awesome to see that Schmelzer is just dominant at the moment. We will see how it all plays out, i think Schmelzer/Hummels/Sokratis should be the safe bets in the defence with Pisczcek/Durm for the right side. Kampl is still a question as he could not really show his best side yesterday. But it's good to have him and Kuba/Hofmann as backup

How realistic is Chelsea offering 120 million euro for Pogba?

Another huge story from The Sun tonight as they report Chelsea have agreed a £69m deal to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.

Anyone else think Gary Rowett (Birmingham City) looks and sounds a lot like Tim Sherwood?
I thought it was odd for Tim Sherwood to be talking about Birmingham City and how their match went on Sky Sports news for about 10 seconds before it became clear it wasn't him.

I am not so sure. Predictably, the Premier League buying spree is getting worse every year. Thanks to the global hype train, other leagues can't keep up.
Looks like de Bruyne is leaving for City, too.
Too bad, I liked the diversity. It's a sad football world in which English midtable clubs like Stoke have more attractive squads than the likes of Inter.

Newcastle have had 5 red cards in their last 6 away games apparently.

Due to the money the league generates though, i mean it isn't the clubs fault really that they given more than winning the champions league in terms of prize money for finishing 7th etc xD

Difference with Yanited and Neymar was "they are going to bid" vs them confirming Juventus have accepted a bid

Haha that goal is just insane!
|
That goal's far more entertaining than anything we are likely to see at Old Trafford today.
|
yeah rooney was robbed of his goal other than that though we havent done much in front of goal. i wish our midfielders would take a shot from range sometimes. would stop teams from just crowding the box with players
