The u21 is a good place to get playing time and experience. I cite Kane and sterling as examples but I guess they are bad ones because they are good enough to be part of the first team. But the fringe youngsters? They could have had 90 minutes playing for u21 but nope have the opportunity to train with first team and come on as a 20min substitute instead. Rashford for example isn't going to get any minutes ahead if sturridge vardy and Kane. He hasn't even had half a season under his belt yet. Meanwhile you're considering to pick him over andy carroll who offers something very different, and is in decent form as well? Another thing ridiculous about england is their love for big name players, regardless of their form. Shaw, wilshere Walcott aoc stones. None of them had a good season, some even non existent. Then we ignore Drinkwater noble for them. Heh.

I don't think the name has much to do with it, the selections have been fair and based on form. Walcott has been terrible and probably won't make the squad. AOC is injured, Wilshere might or might not make it, Shaw probably won't. Drinkwater should make the final squad, not sure about Noble.

For perspective the emptiest stadium in the Premier League was for obvious reasons Aston VIlla. Pundits and commentators up and down the country have talked about how It's so sad to see such a great old stadium so empty. Aston VIlla 33,725/42,682 =79.0% Barcelona =78,881/99,354 =79.4% Obviously there's a difference between the two It's pretty hard to fill a 100,000 seater stadium every week especially against the little teams in La Liga. The other thing been it was probably about halfway through the season Villa fans stopped coming. I'm sure it was pretty full near the start. So perhaps it's an unfair comparison.

http://de.statista.com/statistik/daten/studie/164159/umfrage/stadionauslastung-der-aktuellen-bundesligavereine/ many many bvb fans are living in east-germany (>400km away from dortmund). If they move to (around) dortmund, bvb should better have 150k or 200k seaters.

Maybe Eibar 2nd =5,201/6,267 83%. (I haven't checked every team) So my question is what was the last team in La Liga history to sell out all their games? It must have happened at some point. No excuses when the Bundesliga (and specifically BVB) does what it does. Step it up boys! Put butts in those seats!
