The eight times German Champion Borussia Dortmund has secured the services of one of the most sought after football talents throughout Europe on a long term basis: Ousmane Dembélé (18, currently with Stade Rennes/France) will have a contract with BVB until 30.06.2021.

Rennes and BVB have today agreed all the terms and conditions for the transfer. All parties have agreed to remain silent and keep all information confidential.

Looking for the highlights of Sunderland Vs Everton I was surprised to stumble across Liverpool Vs Chelsea. It speaks volumes about the seasons of both those teams that I didn't even know they had played each other and wasn't very tempted to watch it.

Everton have underperformed badly and it's not to suprising to see Roberto Martinez go.

I'm almost dissapointed the relegation battle was settled mid week and we have less final day pashion. But Sunderland where always the most likely of the 3 to stay up. Sunderland, Newcastle and VIlla have been circling the Premier League drain for number of seasons now. Sunderland have got a team togther now for the end of this season but how dependant are the on Defoe and how much longer can he go on he's already retired to MLS and come back once.

Circling the relegation drain reminds me of Coventry back in the day (I can't remeber what years) Gordon Strachan kept Coventry up at least 3 seasons in a row by finding a super star striker from absolutely nowhere. The striker scoring 20 or so goals keeping them up and then been shipped on because Coventry had no money at the end of the season. Dion Dublin scored 20 goals kept them up got sold, then Daren Huckerberry scored 20 goals kept them up got sold, Robbie Keane scoreed 20 goals kept them up got sold on and finally Strachan couldn't find a new striker and they got relegated and never came back. (I'm not sure what the point of that story was either)

With the relegation fights over I guess I have to try and be excited about which Manchester club will play in the Champions League (or possibly lose the quallifier)

La Liga is investigating the game of Real Sociedad - Rayo Vallecano because of a big sudden change in bet patterns at the last moment. People are saying 4 players are suspect of throwing the game (Miku, Iturra, Manucho and Bebe) since they are to leave the club after this year, and the money would be coming from Granada, who was a direct competitor with Rayo to avoid the relegation zone before that game. Miku is supposed to have signed a contract to leave to Watford, owned by the Pozzo family, also owners of Granada. There's also rumours of fights between players in the locker room.

The Granada - Las Palmas game is being investigated too, for the same reason.

Javier Tebas, president of LFP has been denouncing since around last september to the RFEF (spanish football federation) that there's at least a few players in La Liga that bet in games. In his own words, in La Liga Adelante (B) and specially in the lower categories, players betting in games is rampant because there's basically no investigations to prevent it.

Klopp is building his own little Germany-Town in Liverpool.
Really looking forward to his summer transfers, I'm guessing a German Goalie (Leno? Horn?) and some attack potential (Götze? Volland?)

Liverpool have consistently been off the pace for a long time now (with one brief Suarez induced exception). I wantKlopp to be succesful and rebuild Liverpool as a fighting force. I'd also Aresnal to show a bit more pashion, Guardiola to kick some over paid underperforming City players in the ass. United to some how be patched back together, Spurs to maintain their momentum, Leicester to not just collapse back to the mid table job done and maybe even West Ham get in on the act. The Premier League could be truely spectacular next year if even a few of these things happen.

I just remebered Chelsea exist. Stick them in there somewhere too.

edit: I'm not sure I understand Watford getting rid of Quique Sanchez Flores. It's clearly not for results on the field. Must be some personal differences or something.

Watford was terrible since December, they got 16 points from 21 games scoring only 6goals from open play, on top of that QSF was using same starting 11and subs every single game no matter form of the players. It's same thing that happened with Pardew at Newcastle and now Palace.

So I read rashford possibly with an England call up. While I've seen him play and I think he is decent, why is the English team so desperate that every promising player immediately gets pushed to the first team squad? Alli barkley wilshere aoc dier stones sterling etc.

It's more about who's in the best current form regardless of age. I don't think Rashford has done enough to get a call up but there aren't many other options to replace Welbeck.

I mean my main peeve is like when there's a u21 tournament, and hogson's like nope kane/sterling has to be in the first team squad for some friendlies instead.
