Ter Stegen no1 Mignolet no2 Pretty good solid keeper line up ![]() All be it, if Ter Stegen shows his class, he is prone to some silly things too. But also made some wonder saves vs Bayern last season.

While both Luis Enrique and the fans prefer Bravo over him (that's why he plays Liga and why Stegen probably wants to leave), Bavo is not getting any younger either. If Stegen is smart he is gonna stay. If he really pushes for a transfer, I don't expect Barça to sell him for less than 20-25M.

Like Cech and Courtios, Cech knew he could play first team for most teams in world and didn't want to be sat at bench even for Chelsea, so asked to leave. Ter Stegen in same position (kinda) he could play first team for a lot of good teams out there, maybe even Yanited if they got rid of De Gea right? Whilst he could easily be no2 and push at Barcelona he could also get to play week in week out for a champions league club too. Can't blame him either way you first said Liverpool and now say CL club. Why would terstegen leave barça to play PL football? No way Liverpool is going into the CL next season.

If you know you have the class, change clubs. If you really do have the class you value will increase and your old club will want you back or another as big club will buy you.

Just saying he could be an option for Yanited they might not even get champions league either. But he could be PSG new keeper for example anyone who hasn't got a world class keeper as he has the potential to be one and has proven sometimes already. Liverpool is a good option for him as the coach is german and they will be fighting for champions league next season, 12 months without it would be ok for him im sure at the age of 23. Also why would he leave? To play football is why he would leave. Like Salteador said, he is out of favor in Barca, they prefer Bravo to him.

And its not like he doesnt get games. He had 13 apperarances last season which is quite healthy. Bravo had 37 all league. Bravo is the number one keeper on the team and didnt get a CL medal or a Copa medal. Maybe he should leave ? Frankly the balance has been quite solid. Which ofcourse is easier to maintain on a strong team, but still they managed to do it. So I'd be quite happy if I was Ter Stegen.

And this is the highest level of competition. Additionally unlike the Czech/Artosis situation he has time on his side. He knows hes being groomed and he has to keep at it. Ofcourse It is true that he isnt as in favor recently this season and things can happen, but his situation isnt exactly dire to the point where he would be itching for a move. Lets put it into perspective like this. Over the last 2 seasons (not this one) hes had 34 appearances to Bravos 56. Thats an even healthier ratio. So he is getting games. Btw Im not counting stuff like Spanish super cup and all those are random games he probably gets aswell.

No big signings anywhere. Or maybe this is just my perception as a Benfica fan that lost David Luiz, Matic and Enzo Perez in the last few years during the winter window.

If he joined Liverpool and played amazing, in a few seasons if Liverpool aren't challenging for trophies he would be able to walk into another top team challenging for trophies. Just because you are a no2 keeper at Real or Barca ain't going make him happy if he wants to play every week.

Why would he want 13 appearances as a no2 when he could get 50 appearances elsewhere and potentially try and reach his potential. Just because you are a no2 keeper at Real or Barca ain't going make him happy if he wants to play every week. Ehh... Hes like 2 years in. I'm sure he will want to play more but his position right now is fine for him. Why be a no2 at a bad team that could also ruin your career. The risk isnt worth it at this stage. Maybe in a couple of years but not now. The Bravo situation has to pan out. The fact that he gets games means he has a legit shot at fighting for the starting birth. Not many get that chance. Czech is a great example. He is equal to if not a better keeper than Courtouis but barely got a look in once Mou decided who his first choice was.

Don't think anybody is arguing for him to be no2 at another team since staying no2 at barca would make sense, but if another team offered him to be their no1 it might be tempting depending on how he feels at barca. If they tell him that he'll be their no1 soon he will probably be happy with that, but if they don't plan to ever use him at no1 he would obviously look for a team that will.
