- Bale should have had a pen directly before 1-1: streamable.com - Ronaldo probably should have had a pen but he may have fucked himself by leaning in/exaggerating streamable -> directly after that red card for Real streamable - Valencia apparently had another one or two pens claims (no gifs, just summaries/comments) - Bale looks offside for 1-2 imgur Meanwhile, Spiegel Online is reporting that Barca has registered 77(!) new players | ||

And yeah, looks like an offside goal, but that's hard to see for a linesman. Red card was 100%. He lunges in and gets him on the ankle. Very reckless. Valencia player got lucky to get away there without major damage. | ||

Red card is a clear red card - but the controversy is whether RM should have had a penalty in the situation before. And the 1-1 goal happens right after RM should have had penalty (so basically that wrong call makes the game 1-1 instead of 2-0) With regular pro-RM refereeing, this means the game would have been 3-0 with 11 vs 11 players after 65 minutes, with no referee mistakes you could argue that it would instead be 2-0 with 10 vs 11 players after 65 minutes, and that after that, RM would get their 2-1 goal disallowed. Nobody is disputing that RM normally gets referee help. (But then nobody should dispute that Barcelona gets the second most referee help, either. ) It's just, you don't have to abandon that theory just because they in 1 game didn't get help (but rather was slightly fucked over), and you don't have to pretend that they didn't get slightly fucked over just to maintain belief in them overall getting referee help. | ||
