I am glad to see Özil is showing his worth for Arsenal. I hope this shuts his detractors up, I am tired of defending Löw for putting Özil in the starting lineup of the German national team.

Beating Man City probably means that Arsenal is the winter favorite for the league, now. Given sad state of Chelsea and Man United, but I'm hoping for some Leicester City underdog magic. And hopefully at least making ait really interesting on the last day.

The funny thing is the lack of transfers by Winger was probably a good thing given all the busts. But a winter without any new players will probably be unacceptable.

Too bad they didn't draw, would've been great for Leicester. But of course it's still better to see Arsenal win instead of City. Also happy that Özil does well.

To that pep topic: Kinda glad he leaves, finally that drama ends. Maybe it was a mistake to sign him in the first place. A guy who has his very own style of playing football just leaves after he finally shaped the team to fit him. And it was clear from the start that pep isn't interested in a longer spell.
His time with munich wasn't a failure imo but also not particularly outstanding.

Yeah Pep took that job with no intention to be there for many years as he said he wanted to manage in England. So we pretty much know he going to England in his next job it just a matter of which club. Will it be City with the Barcelona hierarchy or will it be London calling as London > Manchester

United have like 0 Pep players though. Maybe Hererra and to a degree Rooney. City has more of the kind of squad he can mould without having to totally overhaul. Arsenal would be a good fit, but Wenger aint goin nowhere.

Edit: I guess Mata fits to but hes not really got the pressing ability that Pep requires of his players and hes casual on the ball sometimes. And you cant lose ball in Peps system. Especially not the way he does.

yeah for pep to go to united he would have to get at least like, 2-3 transfer windows before the team could really be 'his' team, and united right now is in the situation where they also need (for their supporter base not to dwindle) immediate results. It's definitely possible to make the argument that pep is the best team builder in the game, but I don't really see him as this, injection of energy and winning spirit-type of guy.

Still think they should go for him if they could, but looks like every pundit thinks he's going to city, and while individual pundits are often wrong, every pundit added together is usually right. I would have liked him more in united, I think that would have been an absolutely fantastic challenge and opportunity for him to prove himself as a 'complete' manager - turning the current city team into gold would impress me far less than doing the same with united.
