true.. i wasnt expecting a win.. but we had enough opportunities to score in first half.. and our manager still does nothing.. like allways he really pisses me off.. he stands there all games doing nothing... and our keeper saves us again.
our best exibitions this season were on league cup with our B teamers and it was cause our president made us play with them lol
and another stupid miss....

Yea, I think that Wolfsburg's current form makes them a much better CL team than both Schalke and Leverkusen.
Wolfsburg has to be one of the favorites to win the Europa League.

Finally Tanaka going in -.- our Keeper keeps saving us lol from humiliation

Bas Dost's performance curve is just incredible. From 2 goals total in the first half of the season he now got 9 goals in 6 matches (including todays EL match).

Edit: Finally the gifs are around:
Penalty appeal, alternative angle

Glad that they didn't give a penalty for something stupid like that. It doesn't interfere with the game at all and his hand is not in an unnatural position.

lol.. i kinda agree with you... the thing is referees give penaltys for this everytime or even for ones less clear than this (cof cof ball hit the head bye bye champions)

Even if "my" team wins that way victory feels hollow.
The rule says something about "deliberately handling the ball". Based on that I wouldn't give a penalty but some referees would disagree I guess.

Yeah that is exactly what I thought, it's completely unintentional (he is looking for the ball as it hits him) and it influences the game in no way at all. But these handballs almost universally get called for a penalty, so once again basically Sporting gets screwed. For the most part though, the referee confused me. He looked straight at it, but didn't wave it off. Stupid situation.

here in portugal is like a hand ball penalty party... teams just shoot at players arms and get penaltys everytime lol its just retarded.

Feyenoord 1-1 versus Roma in Rome. Really excellent result for us and I thought the draw was a pretty fair picture of the match. The return in Rotterdam should be pretty awesome. I think we have a really solid chance to actually progressing based on this display. It's fortunate that Roma has lost a little bit of form recently.
Kazim played really well today. Besides being alert for the goal his field play was excellent. Man of the match for me.

That strategy works with some German referees, too, unfortunately.
edit: oh noes, Fiorentina already behind vs Tottenham
Pretty sure Sevilla will win vs BMG tonight.
German referee bonus does only work vs Portuguese teams, two ridiculous yellow cards for BMG already :D

Ajax playing really well so far, even with the strange starting lineup.

Yeah what a match in the end. I thought Roma would run away with it after that first half, but Feyenoord really stepped up in the second half. This has actually become doable.

Oh me too haha. I was resigned to a beating in that first half. The defense looked hopeless with every cross looking likely to end in a goal. They still gave away two great chances in the end which Roma didn't take but Feyenoord had reasonable control of the game in the second half. Also if Nelom could pass properly we could have even stolen a win hah... Really hope Feyenoord can win this tie because the domestic season is already done and dusted.

Hope so. With Van Beek back in the squad for the next match our defense should at least be tighter, hopefully the crowd gets behind the team in a good way and feyenoord could really win this.

Warsaw woke up after the break, and amsterdam suddenly looks incredibly shaky. Cilessen saving about three 1on1s, lucky Ajax!
