One bad thing looks like there is a "international friendly" the weekend before we play that champions league tie, which is a worry for both teams. We play Wednesday on the Weds, no game on the weekend then a the game vs PSG.

Ajax has a tendency to underestimate teams that they 'should' beat but are actually pretty fucking good. Hope they'll take it the same as a match against Barcelona. Feyenoord should be able to beat Roma, but it'll be tough. Thing is, Roma will probably play with a B-team and Feyenoord is very solid defensively, so keep the 0 in Roma (or draw with any other scoreline) and win in de Kuip. PSV vs Zenit.. ehrr, don't think that's gonna go well. Especially in -20 degrees St. Petersburg in February.

I feel like either Arsenal will overwhelm Monaco at the Emirates, ending the tie there, or Monaco is going to use whatever magic they used in the group stage and get a 0-0 at the Emirates and a 1-0 at home to win.

If not, this season is going to be an abject failure and the club is going to have really serious problems come summer.

What scares me is that BVB looks toothless against teams who park the bus/defend solidly. And you know there are no better teams than Italian ones at doing this. BVB really need Reus and Gundogan in order to win against Juve, they are the only ones who can open Juventus's defence. This tie is totally depends on game in Dortmund. Juventus struggles at away games, they even lost both Gala and Olympiacos. You gotta believe in Klopp though, we have already seen how good he is against RM. That being said, i really dont mind if Juventus wins against BVB. They are good enough to beat any team in CL.

I'm not even that worried about the CL. It'd be nice to progress, but there's no way in hell we're getting to the semifinals with this team. We need to be more worried about the long-term future. We have no guarantee that this organization is going to be able to make the right decisions to rebuild a core of top-tier players that can keep us relevant in Europe. You'd think that with our recent success, we could cement ourselves as a consistent European threat alongside Bayern, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man U, etc., but horrible transfers have left us in a pretty dismal state. We really look like Liverpool at the moment, and it also brings back the spectre of our last post-CL win in the late 90's, and we all know what that led to.

With a full round of mediocre-at-best foreign transfers and no real young potential in the club (German or otherwise, youth academy or 2nd team), this team looks nothing short of a train wreck.

And of course RM got a bullshit goal in their past 3 Liga games before the last one (either blatant offside or Penaldo dive in the box). Leading with a solid 7-1 penalties against Barça this year already. In Barça's last game the opponent gets to play the ball with his hand in the box... but that's not a Penaldo dive, so it's not called. Must be real nice, winning with all these lucky coincidences lol.
