They didnt do this with Lewandowski, the difference is: Lewandowski said he would like to go, and thats all fair. Götze renewed his contract 3 months before he left, he left short before on eof the most important games and was like "see you im gone" He is a coward.

The thing i am always asking Dortmund fans in this discussion is: What would have happend if Julian Schieber would have done exacly the same, announcing 1 day before CL semi, saying "Wahre Liebe" and stuff. Would it be the same reaction years after? Honestly i say no. Götze is good thats why the reaction is so extreme.

Do you mean if Julain Schieber said "Wahre Liebe" and left shortly after? I'd agree with no then, because Schieber has never been a) very important for the team and b) was never a huge fan favourite. I wouldnt be happy about it and i think people would still boooo him, but they more or less wouldnt care that much. Thats my opninon atleast

The reaction of Fans always depends on what the player was for the club, assuming anything else is just not true. And i dont think Bayern would hand Toni Kroos some flowers if they are to play RM in this seasons CL.

Götze played in Dortmund for 13 or something years and said: I could imagine playing here for the rest of my life. Then he left. Lewy said: I didn't stay in any team for more than 3 years so I already surpassed that time. Time to move on. Just to add. I did not see neither the WC final nor the goal. I prefered TI.

The difference with Kroos is, that he a) didn't renew his contract a few months before and b) didn't say stuff like "I could imaging retiring here" etc.

You notice the lack of Ribery and Robben and MOTM Sparta is absolutely destroying Lewandowski today. I don't see what you can do as a coach after a WC. Dortmund's players might be alot more motivated for this meaningless game aswell because they just cannot lose at home against Bayern after getting 4-0'd days before.

It will be interesting to see how Bayern plays with Lahm, Neuer, Schweinsteiger etc all back in business. I just hope this wont be another season where Bayern looks so weak in the pre-season and at the start of the season and ends up 20 points ahead of everyone else again ._. Sokratis for man of the match btw! Shame we dont do this like in SC2 Pro League ![]()

Thats my opninon atleast My point is that Götze is hated because he is a good player. A worser player with less skill wouldnt be. I sometimes have the feeling Dortmund fans think they are different from others that like top teams. Bayern fans will dislike Kroosbecause he left Liverpool fans will dislike Suarez because he left like in every other club. Obviusly i am not objective but some fans took it too personal in my opinion. On the game: This supercup really sucks, again someone injured Martinez most likely with a torn ACL. I liked Gaudino and Bernart in the first half, could be something for the future. Result doesnt really matter.

I am not a Dortmund fan and I have nothing against Götze anyway but this was one of the biggest asshole moves I have ever seen. How is this even comparable to Kroos? Kroos wanted a higher salary didnt get it and left. Shit happens. This is something wholly different.

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani for £51 million. The former Napoli frontman has also been tracked by Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea but could be heading to north London. Wenger you supposed to be stingy.
