That said, Pardew had his own set of problems. After Ba and Cissé had an unbelievable season and he had the players playing for him, leading to a fifth place in the 11/12 season, it all seemed to turn sour. They played hilariously bad football in 12/13 and almost went down. 2013-14 started well, but then they became anonymous and slotted in to the middle of the table. This season was a whole load of shit, and Pardew sported an unholy record in 2014. ![]() They then started to look like they had their shit together again, but the rift between Pardew and the fans was still big. He left happily to Palace, who had a great set-up with some quality players and he joined the club as someone who's a cult hero (he scored to bring Palace to the FA Cup final way back as a player). The Newcastle collapse has been coming, with or without Pardew and Carver (though the second is an absolute muppet), as Newcastle kept selling their best players and hanging on to some that didn't want to remain. Pardew also didn't seem to be on the best of terms with the players (and also has a rocky history with players in his past). Pardew leaving in itself was good for Newcastle - not result-wise obviously, but as a bridge to the fans. That bridge was promptly burned down with the appointment of Pardew's right-hand man, who went on record to say that he didn't mind the way Newcastle handled the winter window, despite selling promising players like Yanga-Mbiwa (which looks really clever now that they are having a defensive nightmare). Again, fans are angry and the club has basically turned into a spokesman for Ashley's company. Thing is, people think Newcastle are full of entitled fans who expect European football every year. Instead, they just want to see some form of ambition from the board and squad and have a team that has a go at the league. My two cents. tl;dr - Pardew leaving wasn't the problem. The lack of ambition by the board and tensions with the fans spell disaster for Newcastle.

Goal disallowed for Burnley (foul on Harper). Brady's free-kick hits the bar!

Too little too late by Dyche's men. Sad face. At least Hull looks like they're getting dragged down as well.

Next year they will play CL for sure, though they lose some key players (Kruse, Kramer). Next season will be tough. I cannot believe how good this team actually is this season. They probably didn't realize it themselves. CL here we come!

Yeah the bottom 2 are pretty set for me tbh. Hull prime candidate to join them but there are so many possibilities and upcoming games still for there to be major drama.

First, Real will most likely lose points tonight against Valencia. And second I don't think that Altetico will miss the chance to fuck Real Madrid. So basically its on Deportivo. Strike or not, I think it's over.

That's gotta mean a couple of chopped off heads right?
