Rodgers can be sometimes really ridiculous, they just sold their best player in recent history less than a year ago.

Too bad hes injured for 2-4 weeks. Yeah it was a loan for a season with onesided option to buy for 2.8M.

He definitely earned more during that time with more contracts (TV ads in Italy etc). He has one tax issue in germany, that is the thing with Bayern salaries. It was 6M€ net income per annum plus 7M€ transfer bonus, the rest of the 43.5 million is all taxes. Additionally Bayern paid 11M € to Fiorentina. All in all not that surprising for a top striker.

In Germany such high Income is taxed by arround 48% (42% normal, +3% "rich people tax for income beginning with an income over 250k", +3% solidaritätszuschlag) Considering the taxiation, he has earned arround 36 Million for 3 years, a Transfer Bonus + Boni for cetrain season goals. Should become 43.5 Mio€ At the moment Bayerns strongest players (ribbery, robben and some more) earn 8 Mio per year without taxes. Making up to 16 Mio with taxes per year.

Except, nobody will let them play like this in the Premier League. Very lousy defensive play in both of the gifs.

Middlesborough (3rd) vs Wigan (22nd) right now, and Ipswich (6th) vs Bournemouth (1st) later. 1-0 to Boro, and it's Patrick Bamford, the Chelsea loanee, again. Middlesborough win and move up into the first spot (temporarily?). Missed the start, but Ipswich is 1-0 up already. Bournemouth equalise through Kenwyne fucking Jones! What a corner and a great header.

edit: 1-1 is probablly a fair result but it does nothing for both sides. Ipswich would have been right up in they had held on.

Apparently Jones debuted today, so that's a decent start. 3 points for Ipswich would be great for the promotion race, but the draw was deserved.

Derby 1:0 Watford edit: Derby have a penalty and Marco Motta has been sent of for Watford. edit 2: Darren Bent has put away the penalty. 1:1 edit 3: Thomas Ince was it? Not sure streams breaking up. Eitherway Derby have scored. 2:1 edit 4: Watford's 10 men have equalised. Nicely worked but there where enough defenders there. Derby should have got a foot to it at some point. 2:2 edit 5: That finished Derby 2:2 Watford
