2-0 Palermo! What a fucking counter, started by Quaison (Sweden represent!). Perfect.
Quaison's first start of the season, too! He's looked fantastic as a sub the last few weeks - definitely earned the start.
Absolute shit-house colour commentators for BT. Higuaín is a second late with his tackle, and this mug is saying the ref made a bad call for giving him a yellow.
on that first goal.. why does he shoot? does he know that this goalie has a tendency to randomly concede to 40 yard shots? if GK doesn't fuck up then it doesn't matter how perfectly he shoots..

Because Lazaar thinks he's Ronaldo. Like, for real. Wears 7, has that same hair, attempts fancy dribbles, and usually has 1 or 2 ridiculous attempts per game (unsurprisingly this one was the first that actually panned out).
A perfect shot can be a goal without fuck ups from that distance. Not really the best odds that you are going to do it, but it's not that hard to find goals shot from a similar place in those "Best long range goals ever" youtube videos.
I think arguably those all feature the GK fucking up in some way, or vision impaired or something. if someone shoots from 40 meters and you see it coming, a GK should be able to cover the entire goal.
I mean yeah okay maybe there's like a 30x30 cm area next to both crossbars where it can actually go in without a "fuckup" but it's like.. nobody has the accuracy to justify giving the ball away like that.
I think it's a bit harsh to say something like this is a fuck up:
Either way, a mistake doesn't have to be as terrible as it was in that goal. It's not that rare for the goal keeper to misjudge the trajectory of a curve ball or something. Still, a goal from that distance is obviously always the one in a million shot.

Man this video... It's full of wonderful shots and every one I've seen live I will always remember them just like vanBrockhorst's goal
the one where the video starts playing, I agree. that's just a perfect perfect shot, amazingly hard, great trajectory. I think both the one before and the one after though, gk fuckups/ball behaving unpredictably/vision impaired.
so yeah I mean it's an exaggeration that it's impossible without gk fucking up, but my point about it being a stupid shot to attempt still stands.

Always Spahic. I don't know why Leverkusen are relying on him so much, in many important games he either got a decisive red card or made a crucial mistake. How can he be the leader of their defence? Maybe he is brilliant in the games I do not watch, but damn he annoyed me when I did.
Villa vs Leicester is an interestingboring cup tie. Tim Sherwood as an observer rather than fully in control. Leicester CIty have actually looked pretty good in recent games despite the results. Villa certainly have the players to produce good performances but consistently have failed to do so for months now. It will be interesting to see how Sherwood gets on at Aston Villa and it might make the relegation fight a little more frightening for other teams (including Aston Villa) if Leicester CIty continue to play as well as they have been in the last few games.
Whilst I'm talking about the relegation fight I predict Sunderland and West Brom to pull away from trouble because they both have strikers scoring at the moment. The relegation fight is shaping up between the five curently bottom teams. Hull City, QPR, Aston Villa, Burnley and Leicester CIty.
Even playing well as they have been recently Leicester CIty probablly don't have enough to stay up so I'm going to predict them and Burnley go down and leave the other 3 to fight for that final position.
