I was having a stupid conversation with a Brighton fan the other day who was excited that a load of Aresnal fans got beaten up because they where wearing Aresnals shirts in the Brighton sections of the AMEX during the FA Cup game the other week. Why he possibly thought this was a good thing is beyond me it's just a game no matter how tense or exciting it gets and it's great to see fans in the Asian Cup and at the World Cup able to enjoy the atmopshere and have fun win, lose or draw no matter who they are sitting next to. a ton of korean's live in australia so its expected i think brits take football too seriously at times which is why you get dumb violence

Football used to be a bit like that with gangs of idiots out for a fight rather than caring about the game at all. It's largelly moved past that now and luckily we don't see as much of it. This is slightly connected to the subject we discussed a few weeks back about the changing demographics of football. With more wealthy fans coming in the atmoshpere has definatelly shifted away from thugs and viloence towards family oriented atmosphere. Which in most respects is a good thing. But it's not great that it's becoming harder for your average Joe to afford to go to matches obviously. Australia was quite late to fall in love with Football and I guess has none of this history of viloence which can't be bad.

(rosenborg's city) there were like 3 tromsø supporters and 50 rosenborg supporters in the room and the tromsø supporters kept singing anti-rosenborg songs and just being very loud. wife had only been in norway for a year or so at the time, and was really surprised, at one point exclaiming that if this was in poland, those three would literally get killed - but here they were just ignored and allowed to enjoy their moment of glory.

Hull vs Newcastle is a pretty big game for Hull. They really need a win to try and get away fromt he relegation zone And holly shit I totally forgot Fantasy Football even existed. It's to late now I don't even want to check if I left Costa as captain. On January 31 2015 21:13 sharkie wrote: So did Korea lose the final to the aussies? Yes
