Sometimes the differences within the country are pretty big so I can't say for sure it's the same everywhere. Haven't celebrated on the 24th myself for years. Just chilling with my gf and having a nice meal before travelling to the families on the 25th/26th. | ||

In the region of south bavaria where I grew up there are the "Perchten" who look like devils and people dress up as them and beat up other guys/children with rods.
