We're changing strikers every game and while he's on the field everybody around him expects him to be Lewandowski. But he isn't and so he won't do shit. Give him the ball he needs (I doubt it's possible in a team that is the favourite in most games and has to run against a wall) and he scores often. We scouted him for 3-4 year and 2-3 years ago he would've been a perfect fit. But too much changed over the last 18 month. We're wasting him. I never liked Gomez but he scored all the time. There is a place for most talented players in professional football but an established player can't change himself every year after getting transferred. You buy a player -> make sure he's fucking flexible or fits the system. We needed a circle (or a new system) and we bought a rectangle. | ||
