Honestly speaking Chelsea will never again get anywhere close to the spending we had at the start of the Abramovich era. With the second coming of Mourinho its nice to see the philosophy of the club move from short term to long term goals. I like how they are building a team that can dominate the next decade.

Chelsea is just not the marketing juggernaut clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, United are and we will not be spending 60 million on one player for a long long time, maybe ever again. This is one of the reasons why clubs like United pushed so hard for FFP because now only an elite few have the license to spend big.

Yeah, FFP is a joke. Never meant to cure the problems surrounding football, but rather cement the current powers for good. It is boring IMO, same teams every year from the same countries battling it out with the occasional surprise in the mix.

FFP is a "long-term" (5 years to be exact) plan for every team. Ofcourse FFP looks like joke after 1 year. We have to wait at least 2 years then we can say whether FFP is good or bad.

i don't like the investment into the EPL despite the money it brings - english youth is being overlooked for foreign talent and it's showing by how shit the english team is.

meanwhile looks like rooney will play where mata was and falcao starts in front.
