Hahaha, Bayern won't be champions this season. Badstuber was one of the best players on the field. He had a duel winpercentage of 100% and 86% pass accuracy. He showed why he was considered the best german CB for some time. Also happy for Gaudino played a very good first half. And Robben is just a robot. Pretty sure only Bayern fans considered badstuber the best German CB hahahaha ^^ Well not today sure Boateng, Hummels and, on a good day, Mertesaker are better. But like i said he was considered in the past around 2011 were Boateng was inconsistant and Hummels unproven. Winning bundesliga ahead of bayern makes Hummels unproven? huh what? Please, there is no period in time when badstuber was considered the best lol "best" is obviusly upp to debate but in the 09/10 season he was a coore part of a CL finalsist. Hummels wasnt, not that he was bad at the time but you can find arguments that Badstuber was more promesing at this time. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/spieltag/1-bundesliga/2009-10/topspieler-der-saison-abwehr.htmlMertesacker, Hummels, Höwedes all ranked well above Badstuber "More promising at this time", man... Things like these is why you can't take fans seriously. Two reasons Bayern got into the final that season: Müller and Robben Sooo you are telling me that Sami Hyypiä is better then Phillipp Lahm?
He probably was in that one season.

4 years after Raul's departure, Real Madrid still doesn't have top class striker. I guess the fact that Ronaldo is scoring insane amounts of goals every season kind of conceals that fact... For now. I think they should stop buying midfielders and should try to bring actually good striker(or find someone from the youth system). Xabi Alonso is really slow... even more than before.

Score minute 2, park the bus the remaining 88.
If Atlético wasnt "the new kid in the block" people whould hate their playstyle.

Yeah. The best thing is that Mourinho haters love Atletico XD XD

Atletico is playing and attacking better than Madrid, common.
Shots: Atletico 8 (2 shots at goal) Real Madrid 8 (1 shots at goal)
How is that park the bus? They are pressing in Real Madrid half of the pitch. I think that "not keeping the ball" and defend far like Atletico is doing is different to Park the bus. Park te bus is like 10 players in the area without pressing far away.

Second half has looked better for Atlético because Anceloti decided to take out Kroos and James back cant defend aswell, so Atlético had more chances. But first half was a disgrace to see, I was getting stupidly bored, Atlético defended with all 10 players in the first 1/3rd of their field.

oh god... please Anceloti dont waste Navas in the bench
In another longer video we could see Diego Lopez doing far better aswell -_-

Nah. The difference with teams like Atletico and Chelsea is that there's a huge financial difference. Chelsea should be able to play whatever (attractive) style they want against the other big teams. Yet they actively try to destroy the game against teams that are arguably better than them in an open game. But with their squad and budget, they should be able to play as well as any good team in the world. Atletico had a squad last year that cost them a total of €40m or something. They have to fight against Real for example which team had cost them €500m.
Everyone sympathizes with Atletico because it's like David vs Goliath.

Again a team with low budget, that can beat teams like Real and Bayern. They don't play this dirty and defensive style and still are able to do great... This is a team that people should admire. Simeone's style of coaching is the same as his playing style... and is the reason why Atletico plays anti-football. Admittedly Real played like shit this match so it is well deserved win for Atletico.

It's not about wether a team the size of Atletico could play attacking football and still win against teams with a much higher budget. It's simply the fact that it doesn't matter how the underdog plays. Like Costa Rica at the World Cup. There are obviously cases when the underdog effect is not enough (Greece), but ussually people won't care about how you play if you are the small guy. Only fans of top teams care if a win wasn't pretty enough.

Every time Atletico wins La Liga becomes a little bit better.

Not saying Cassilas is doing very well, but they are doing different excercises, no? Or what is the significance of this video?

Arsenal is even 4th place at money spent.

I'm pretty sure Casillas is jumping with the inside leg and Navas is jumping with the outside leg... Anyways, this video is showing that Navas was probably in better physical shape at some point in the pre-season. Basically nothing important.

Edit: Nevermind, didnt read it properly. 40m team? LOL not even Porto has such a low budget team in the Portuguese league, come on.
Atletico played exactly the same as Chelsea yet people cheered for some unknown reason. And atletico is not some poor team. I get, it is a smaller team than RM but hell...again take Porto, if Porto faces RM we will lose either playing as atletico or with our regular tactic yet we would get zero hype and support. It was just a freaking bandwagon.
Furthermore, consider injuries, players not allowed in CL and other stupid shit and Chelsea was left to bare bones in the end of the season. Yet people argued about so much quality and solutions the team had. Where?
This year the team is much improved and this year there is a lot of quality in all areas of the field (if Costa plays as expected) and there's no reason not to go head on against other European giants...but last year...please.

I didn't say they have a 40m team, I said they had a team that had cost them a total of 40m. Lots of players from the youth academy. Obviously their team is worth more.

My bad then. I apologize. Yet atletico's case was just a bandwagon thing. This year apparently people are starting to see things in a new light

After 10 years since Valencia won La Liga (2004), obviously people is going to cheer for Atletico.
Everyone is always complaining that "La liga" is a two horse riding, so it is the normal thing that everyone cheer them, although they play a defensive and physical style.

Going of of what Twisted mentioned,
Atleti also doesnt play park he bus 90 minutes, They pick their moments where they will go at you, its a bit of a rope a dope if you will.
If you look at the last game of the season they just laid back. When they went a goal down to Barca they came out at half time and for the first 15 mins they played them off the pitch. It wasn't counter attacking it was just good old fashioned solid aggressive play.
So its not quite the same. Also you have to play the opposition, Madrid have a problem breaking teams down and are lightning quick on the counter more so then other teams.
Why would you offer them that space then? You also have to appreciate that whether you like it or not Atleti isnt as good a team and cant play the same game, they work hard and they make it difficult and thats their identity.
The criticism appears when teams that have the resources and in the past and currently play great football and have the quality to do it and still decide they want to admit that they are the weaker team.
I dont think anyone seeing anything in a new light especially considering teams like Atleti and Dortmund will keep getting raided every season. Maybe you are and sure excitement tempers once a team has higher expectations but I am still impressed with them. And this is from someone who is a fierce proponent of pass and move.
Also Dortmund is an exception, no other team gets to do what they have done for which there are a number of reason such as talent pool, scouting system. And they aren't exactly murdering teams these days either so a short uptick for an exciting team isnt anything to get over excited about either.
If you are looking for justification to Chelsea's critism. Pointing at Atleti isnt the answer.
Besides whats the worry. Chelsea played a super impressive first game. Even if they did ease up a bit more than I personally would have liked.
