I can't imagine how hard it was to recover from that type of injury so early in his career, particularly considering how good he was getting right before it happened. The psychological aspect of trusting that knee enough to really test it and push it to recover some of his burst and athleticism after what he had been through is unimaginable. I hope everything works out well for him in GS.

Specially because we (as LA residents) got to see him so young and might still remember the excitement of him being around here as a rookie. Then that ugly injury, that I still could only watch once (and turned my head away), just made everyone feel like we had just witnessed a tragic ending to a young player's career. The best part about the writeup (that I noticed unconsciously at first) was that it somehow felt unfinished when I was done reading it. And that's because Livingston still has to write the ending himself out there. Good job by the writer.

also this is probably obvious, but this means they also now only have 3 days to officially trade asik and lin you have to think morey has a plan here, there's no way this catches him off guard. he's too smart for that

Edit: Even if Parsons signs the offer, his cap hold for the Rockets is 900k, or whatever peanuts his salary was last year, for the three days.

As far as I can tell Lebron is deciding between the Heat and Cleveland and Melo isn't looking to go to either team. What the Parsons thing says to me is that Dallas struck out on all the big free agents and knows it, which is obviously the point at which the Parsons-tier free agents are gonna be signed. Decisions on Melo/big 3 gonna come real soon I think.

Parsons doesn't owe the Rockets anything and I don't even think this was a "fuck you" move. the rockets can go over the cap to sign parsons to whatever number they want. you can go over the cap to sign your own players.
