Oilers improved but probably not nearly as much as people think they have. Flames definitely out performed what people were expecting from them and might fall back a bit from this year but I really dont see the Oilers placing higher than the Flames unless something crazy happens

The question shouldn’t be “will they make the Playoffs next seasons,” because that is a certainty. The question is “how long before they win the Cup?” I don’t think it will be next season, but if the over/under is three seasons from now, I’ll take the under.

yeah the oil bottom six is still bottom of the barrel and that's not even touching on any other problems they have

that being said, I think McDavid is going to own so goddamned much that the Oil would have to actively try to not make the playoffs in three years.
