In the past the NBA has been super strict on their rules about staying on the bench, so some are speculating he may receive the letter of the law treatment, a 1 game suspension. I don't think they'd be that strict with a player of his caliber for a Game 7. Not saying that's right if he indeed broke the rule, just how it is. Longer answer: Perkins is an excellent post defender for the traditional big guys who are very strong, such as Gasol and Howard, and struggles with the quicker ones like Griffin. Adams is still very young and likely doesn't provide as good help on rotations etc. I don't know this for sure, but when he was at Pitt, he was still basically learning the game and improved greatly throughout the year. EDIT: Oh yeah he's a hack too. Forgot about that.

I don't remember the specifics of the rule, but I think it's that you can't leave the bench during a 'fight.' So basically it comes down to whether the NBA thinks that some pushing back and forth is 'fighting' and George broke the rule. I don't expect him to be suspended.

The "fuck the Phoenix Suns because Ron Artest" rule.

IIRC, you can't leave the bench to join in any extracirricular activity. The last one I recall was the Knicks getting in a fight a few years back. I don't think those guys who were maybe eight to ten feet away from the bench and quickly restrained with no follow up will face anything. The details are fuzzy. Diaw and Amare I think. That was after Bowen did something to Nash I think, and those guys were headed for the scorer's table to check in. Things got heated and they got suspended for leaving the bench while there was an altercation going on. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Also, whatever's going on on the top of Mareese Speights's head, he should get it checked out.
