That's right, he worked 2 years for 9 years of salary that the Lakers/Cavs still have to pay off. I take back what I said about him. The man is truly a genius. I wish I was as savvy as him

Walls offence is still way too broken to make that team a force.

He loses the years, but he is still guaranteed the salary, meaning if the Lakers were on the hook for 5m per year (made up numbers), and the Cavs signed Brown to 3m per year, the Lakers are still on the hook for 2m per year for the remaining of their contract with Brown. The Cavs are on the hook for his remaining contract, unless another team signs him... So really for 2 years of coaching he gets 7 years of pay.

If we could get another really really good 3 shooter and maybe a more consistent 6th man instead of just webster/gooden/etc mush then we can do work in the east. Gooden has been a man this series. Really impressed with him given his age and purported rustiness

Walls offence is still way too broken to make that team a force. he's a 20 year old that is already averaging 17 ppg, and it seems he is smart enough to develop. The real question is if he will ever improve his defensive game because that is where most players never improve. As for Wall, I don't think he is fixable which is unfortunate given his once in a decade athleticism. Good enough to be a very high caliber player but never will be a true "star" of the league I don't think. and yea gooden has played amazing but im speaking long term, we need a real 6th man to contend. if we could get a spurs-esque bench somehow we could compete since we lack the raw star power

The wiz need some better scorers around wall to exploit his passing and athleticism (which he can do at an elite Nba level). Beal and his development is a key part of that. I'd also sell high on Nene if a juicy opportunity presented itself.

That said, liked the way he played defense on Johnson right there. Didn't let him blow by him, even with 5 fouls, like a lot of players would. BEAUTIFUL play call, holy crap.
