every competitor in this tournament can stand tall and feel proud for putting on a great great show. Congratz to Sweden for actually ATTACKING and trying to defeat Canada rather than sitting back and waiting. Alfie and Sedin are 1st class guys. | ||

Sweden tried to beat us instead of hoping we beat ourselves. I don't agree with Par Marts strategy though, isolating our defenseman also isolates his, and while Weber, Doughty, and Piet can handle being out manned, the Swedish dcore not as strong and was tasked with holding back huge Canadian forwards. I think they should have played the same game they played for the rest of the tournament. But congrats, you guys played well with a battered lineup. | ||

But, it does not come close the game Gold Medal game in the women's game. the Sweden and Canada men are union bros. in the NHLPA and u can tell they have no ill will towards each other. not so in the women's game. USA and Canada in women's hockey dislike each other strongly. i'm as big a male chauvanist as there is... but i must say The best hockey game of this Olympics was the USA v.
