In general football is more popular in the southern half and hockey in the northern. Everyone can play football so it's bigger. The support and popularity for both national teams is really big. I guess the bigger success for the hockey team makes up for the lack of numbers.

Well, Finland didn't have their top 3 centers and they played 1-1 with Canada, eventually losing in overtime. So don't make any excuses everything is possible.

blatant lie, finland plays with 5 defenders and a goalie

Canada would be at an advantage if this were being played on an NHL sized rink like in 2010. it helped Canada win gold in 2010. i hope my post does not get reported and warned for saying this LOL.

so i think the last time Sweden met Canada in a "best on best" event was Salt Lake City 2002. is any one left from that game? maybe Alfie ?
Backstrom with a migraine headache?

Score prediction: Maybe a 3-2, like the 2006 Olympics!
