So let's look at some interesting stuff here: Sweden beat Finland in the semis, and Canada had a quite close win over USA. Finland then goes on to dominate USA in the bronze game. Sweden should be the favourites tomorrow!

Never have I ever seen a player shoot a broken stick at someone. That was a first. I wanna see if thats a Penalty Shot in the NHL too. Also shocked Kane went 0-2, he's usually money in those. I think we can all agree Team USA was massively overrated due to how poorly their opponents played. Slovakia is not a bad team but they just fell apart, Russia choked it up hardcore and the Czechs have 5 or more guys that should have retired 3 years ago. Yay Finland! Canada has hit hot goalies. 199 shots, 14 goals. 7% shooting is bad lol

Probably a little overrated, but I think the team was really better than a 5-0 loss would show. Seems the loss to Canada just completely demoralized them.

Yay Finland! what we can say is that BO1's prove something, but not everything. in 2010 USA defeated Finland 6-1 to move on to the Gold Medal game. Does any one give Latvia a prayer against Canada in a BO7? In a BO1 ... a bad bounce or 2 and Latvia and Canada go into OT. in 2002 Sweden throttles Team Canada 5-2 only to lose to Belarus days later? in 1972 USA gets destroyed by Finland only to defeat Czechoslovakia 5-1? its a cryin' shame we can't have the top 6 teams competing in a 2 month tournament when teams play BO7s. Up to this point in the tourney Canada has played the best out of all the teams. They absolutely man-handled the Finns and the Americans.

I'm not sure how this World Cup they keep talking about is going to work, but I'd prefer to see a longer tournament annually with the best of the best playing. Rather then the Olympic format, although the hype surrounding the Olympics is always pretty epic. Will be interesting to see what happens if this truly is the last Olympics that the NHL will participate in.
