Kyle Lowry is like Dave Keon, Darryl Sittler , Wendel Clarke, Doug Gilmour and Mats Sundin all rolled into 1 player. Except that he plays basketball instead of hockey.
Holy MOther of Fucking god Lowry is good.
Raptors 69... Wizards 53.. nasty.
Somebody should take Terrance Ross and point him at North Korea.. because he is the most dangerous long distance bomber in the western hemisphere.

Yo Raynor.... Bruins 5 , Leafs 4 game 7
You know Raynor has been suffering so many years... watching his home town teams suck....
it's sad reading his stuff

Lowry has been a pretty good player since he was in Houston and getting rid of Gay has been a huge boon for him (as well as the rest of the team.) He's averaging like 18/9/4.5 in his last 10 games, and I think the assist numbers for the whole team have gone up since Gay was traded.
DeRozan is one of the top young prospects in the league and Ross's production has gone crazy since he's gotten more minutes and better looks. Ross is probably an improvement over Gay on defense too, but I think the team improvement has more to do with the players actually caring now.
I still don't think they have a shot in hell of getting past the second round, but in the broken East they're probably the third best team in current form.

Demar is the Jennings of SGs. This is his fifth year in the league and he's shown minimal improvement to his game beyond the ability to attempt more shots.
He's fools gold who puts up pretty stats on below par efficiency.
Ross is the future at SG for the Raps. Time for them to move on from Demar if a good offer is made available.

Melo's chief idiot.

I think DeRozan has shown slight improvements, like doing a better job at reading the play and making passes to Ross in the corner or JV under the bucket instead of forcing up rubbish. But yeh, he still takes some terrible shots, although not at the Rudy Gay level. I don't see him as a top prospect. Always liked Ross a lot more, even when he wasn't playing much. The game just comes a lot easier to him imo.

Interesting chatter about a Blake for Melo trade with Knicks and Clips.
What do you think for both sides? I'm not sure it's a great idea for the Clips; they'd definitely need to flip Jordan also if they did it (assuming Melo comes in as a stretch PF).

doesn't LA have to include someone else in the trade to balance out the contracts?

wait why would they need to flip jordan?

Probably but that's not a complicating issue. Here's an interesting proposal I saw between NYC, LA and Pho:
Picks to New York (from PHX) Anthony to Los Angeles Griffin to Phoenix
I think there's a lot of sense in this trade for all three teams.

They'd be giving up too many points. DJ is too weak defensively, particularly if you're going to pair him with Melo.

I think DJ was an overrated defender in the past but in the games I've watched this year, I think he's become a much better defender under Doc. His DRating is the best on the team by far.
