His 3pt shooting has really come down over the past 10 games, so I think he'll be returning to regular-mode. Batum is really outstanding, but I think you still need LMA to make it all work.

The only thing I recall being brought up in this thread about them is how we were saying Aldridge might be the best PF in the game. Even if Batum is a better overall player, it doesn't take away from Aldridge at PF, where he is top 3 in the league. And Blake might show more heart and hustle out there (he is a beast IMO) but he is still not a better player than Aldridge. Do you still think they are on the same tier? DJ was on LMA a lot of the game it seemed to me.

Ya for their second close game in two nights, they did specially well. They are such a better defensive team this year. With DJ out at end of OT there, Blake got away with some of his closeouts on LMA's fadeways though. They could have been called for not giving him room to land his feet if it wasn't OT IMO (he made them anyways I think though).

I don't know who would deny Batum is the Blazers best all-around player though? I've had in on my fantasy team for 3 seasons in a row for a reason and that doesn't take account in his defense, which is pretty awesome. The only problem is his turnovers, but thats fixable.. DJ was on LMA a lot of the game it seemed to me. Blake has been better than Aldridge this year. I actually think the last few games have been very telling about both players. I went back to watch Portland's recent games for their defense and for all the flak Blake gets, Aldridge isn't vastly better than him on that end. Matthews has become a very good two way player. Not on Batum's level but he has been a very good scorer for years now. I don't think he'll be THIS hot all year but him and Batim are torching teams whether Aldridge is on the court or not.

I hope he can come back soon at 100% so that we can see the full strength Thunder in the postseason this year. What faults? Russ Westbrook is perfect in every way.
