How can you call someone the worst point guard you've ever seen when you're just a fan sitting at your computer. There is a reason he's on the roster and its not just because hes hype.... There must be things that the franchise see in him or he must have potential. I've seen moments, even yesterday he crossed someone out, got to the rim and laid a nice dime to speights. He was also on the floor multiple times during the last 2 minutes of the game so Mark Jackson must have some faith in him.

This is a common misconception (and one that Blake apparently believes), you can't make up for playing the game soft by acting hard after the play is over. That is just what idiots who worry about being called soft do.

This is a classic case of don't hate the playa, hate the game =D They didn't wrestle on a rebound. Bogut held on to Griffin's jersey deliberately long. It wasn't a basketball play, it was a clever play to piss someone off. Like, if it's just about Griffin's hug, then Bogut doesn't hold on to his jersey for 10+ seconds. Bogut is exactly the type of player who'd try to intentionally draw a T to get the other player ejected, and Jackson is exactly the type of coach who'd call it. I could see Doc and KG doing it too. Hell, it's what Laimbeer used to do. I don't mind it from the Dubs' side (Griffin calling it 'cowardly' is dumb,) the only problem is that the refs actually went to review and still fucked it up majorly. Perfectly called, I think it's a personal foul on Griffin for the hug and a T on Bogut for grabbing the jersey like that. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/82680/the-glorious-bastardry-of-andrew-bogutReading the comments, they're saying he pulled the same jersey-holding move against Durant, and drew Durant into a T. I think he tried it against Portland too. I hope he tries that against David West

You misunderstood me. Blake does have a soft post game, and everyone calls him out for it. What I'm saying is that when people try to punk him a la zbo or bogut yesterday, he shouldn't have to run away from the play to avoid getting a technical. He should be able to stand his ground. How can you stop people from trying to bully you when you get unfair treatment from the refs.
Just clear things up I really don't like Griffin, every time he dunks on someone it should be called a foul. The dunk of gasol last year it was the definition of an over the back foul.

He wasn't called soft cause people were fucking with him and he wasn't doing anything about it, he was called soft cause he's one of the most athletic and strong PFs yet flops like a bitch when PGs bump into him or there isn't even any contact. You can not flop and not react to provocation.
I will admit that his "soft" rep is a bit undeserved though.

Blake cops a lot of shit but he has to learn to deal with it. Guys are going to try get in his head and unsettle him.
But the NBA needs to stop being so soft with dishing out technicals. They're too paranoid about another malice in the palace scenario and have sanatised the game to a degree that you can't even give a rival a stern glare. It's ridiculous. Let the boys fire up a bit and bring some common sense back to reffing.

wow reading the yahoo box score.. Harden with 17-18 free throw attempts and makes.. Memphis with only 9-15 FT so far.
|
harden is singlehandedly winning FT% for my team this week based on this game alone.

No, you are supposed to shrug off getting "punked" (which is 100% subjective by the way), then get back at the guy by hitting 2 FTs, shoving him out of the lane on the other side of the floor, then backing him down and dunking, etc on him the next time down the floor.
What you don't do is flip out, flail around, then try to draw a charge, then snap your head back on contact.

Mark jackson is trying to make him into a point guard, which he has shown in practically every game this season that he is not capable of being. He is known for his defense and energy, that's why he's on the roster, although that too has not been particularly good of late. Sorry if that upsets you. For the record, I like Baze.
