I'm not sure we have much of a chance to go all the way in Brazil without a decent striker and goalkeeper though. I'm actually quite happy with the other 9 positions we have.

until the world cup william carvalho will probably grab the defensive midfielder position and maybe some one steps up in the wing for nani
I feel like Raul Meireles(he is good but lacks offensive power, we need a 10 to play with moutinho and William Carvalho) and Veloso and the striker position are the weakest links
but yeah this team is probably the best we can have right now!

At least we had some hope for about 3 minutes or so ... C.Ronaldo, what a beast. GG Portugal. I lost all hope ofter 0 - 1 then all of a sudden Zlatan came in to the picture. Then Ronaldo whiped his ass with that picture, ripped it apart and lit it on fire. To be honest. Portugal really deserve to be in WC a lot more then Sweden. We only have Zlatan. Portugal at least has some players that are in teams that are fighting for the champions league throphie.
Just sad because this was Zlatans last chance to play WC.

How is Nelson Oliveira coming along? Btw Moutinho was brilliant as well, a shame he didn't come to the EPL

At this moment i have higher hopes for Vaz Te (West Ham striker) than for Oliveira... he really let himself go after all the surrounding hype after sub 20 World Cup in 2011 i think

Everyone but Paulo Bento knows the kid should be the starting striker, Hugo Almeida and Hélder Postiga are just too bad to be true, and Nélson Oliveira has scored 7 goals in like 10 games of the French league, the only players that have more goals are Ibra, Falcao and Cavani (enough said).

So if no miracles happen tomorrow, we will have 24 of 32 the teams from 2010 qualified again (if I counted correctly). That's surely the highest absolute number ever, and probably even amongst the highest as percentage. WHo would have thought that.
Also I have to say, I'm very very sad that no true fairy-tale-team, 1000:1 outsider, or whatever you would want to call it will qualify (again assuming no miracles tomorrow). At least in the sense that none of the qualified teams are (imho) comparable to North Korea, Trinidad&Tobago, Togo, Angola, Senegal or Jamaica.
