Because granting one team both a penalty and a man advantage is too much punishment for a single foul. It basically destroys most games it occurs in. | ||

It's just that, imo, a red card should be given for a dangerous foul or a 'goal attempt ruining foul' that's outside the box. Penalty + red is really harsh. | ||

The point is you aren't supposed to make terrible challenges when you get beat, it's supposed to be a huge deterrent. It's completely avoidable and players would get hacked down a lot more on goal scoring opportunities if it wasn't a rule and who wants to see that? There's already too much tactical fouling in the game. | ||
