Manchester United have qualified out of this group, but if they get defeated by Shakhtar could find themselves in 2nd place. However avoiding defeat and they will qualify in first place and get that all important first place seed in the next draw phase. Shakhtar need to match Leverkusen's result to qualify in second place. Leverkusen need to better Shakhtar's result in order to jump into 2nd place and advance Real Sociedad are out and have finished bottom Group B Real Madrid have stormed this group and qualified in top spot a matchday or so ago. Juventus and Galtasaray are battling it out for the 2nd place whilst FC Copenhagen can still take a Europa League place. Galatasaray need nothing but a win to try and come out of this group in 2nd place, anything but a win and they will finish 3rd and if results go against them with Copenhagen taking points off of Madrid they will finish out of Europa totally. Juventus just need to avoid defeat in Istanbul to make it out in 2nd place. Copenhagen need to avoid defeat against Real Madrid and hope Juventus beat Galatasaray to nick 3rd place and a Europa League place. Group C PSG are through as group winners in this group. Olympiacos and Benfica are battling it out for the 2nd and 3rd place, whilst Anderlecht have finished bottom. Olympiacos just need to match Benfica's result to finish 2nd and qualify. Benfica will need to better Olympiaco's result to qualify themselves, other than that they are staring at a place in the Europa League. Group D Manchester City and Bayern Munchen are battling it out for 1st and 2nd place in this group and play eachother on matchday 6. Bayern will be in pole position though as anything other than a Man City win of 3-0 will put Bayern through as winners. Plzen and CSKA are battling for the Europa League place in matchday 6 with the Russians in pole position in this as they just need to avoid defeat. | ||
