Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Müller, Özil - none, but really none of them tries to shoot it hard anymore. I miss 2006

It's like they came accepting they were eliminated and they just wanted to exit honorably without losing too badly.

If they have to defend a lead at home they are always so angsty ^^

Got dust themselves down and make sure they beat Spurs on Sunday for a start. Then they are away to Chelsea the following Saturday. However Chelsea are at home to Gala the tuesday before that not good for us that one. So much better than him as a goalkeeper. As kicking the ball as we discussed in the other thread earlier, he is fucking shite lol. Makes Cech look like he has Neuer skills xD

It seemed to me like we went in with the idea of defending for the first half and then trying to strike on the counter with our pace (Ox). But he only had a few chances to do that. In my opinion, we needed Özil to show up in a big way tonight and thread some amazing passes / crosses. He didn't. (And he has looked tired for the past 4 weeks..) We also blew a couple of chances (to attack) by trying to make the cute play instead of the good/right play. Overall, considering the fact that we're lacking many of our key players, we did quite well away to Bayern. Though, they did not push 100%, as they didn't need to.. Quite decent performance tonight. Speculation: If we didn't concede the first goal... (And yeah, Podolski was lucky not to give away a free kick with the push) My +/- +++ Ox, such bravery and great play overall. Really the only one bringing energy (and Rosický in the 2nd half) ++ Koscielny, busy all night and made like 1 mistake + Everyone else, bar.. - Mesut, dare I say uninspired? Not impressed by his play tonight. I like Bayern and Lahm is one of my favourite players, and Im happy for him. But Robben makes me sick. The tiniest contact makes him fall down in such a dramatic way. EVERY TIME. It's like he gets shot.. Ugh. Joke..

You need patience and luck Yea I have to agree, Bayern would've have murdered them if they hadnt been circumspect in their approach so I cant blame them to much. The idea was sound play conservatively nick a goal and then perhaps go all out. And even that as we witnessed was a massive order and against a Bayern side that couldve easily gone up a few gears if they needed to it fet like.

both Robben and Martinez, such Dramaqueens. Martinez you have to lie on the ground for 2 minutes, when a hand touches your face? btw I liked the game but it would have been much better if Arsenal had been more offensive (is that the right word? ^^).# Bayern deliberatly not playing their best game?? no, not under Guardiola, where you have to fight to stay in the team. they have struggled against all big teams theyve played this season and this was another example. If they cant find the rhythm against teams that challenge them, then theyre only another fish in the sea.

the Bayern players were flopping at any touch and the ref gave whatever. I sound bitter but I am happy with how Arsenal played. I think the first game was unfortunate for Arsenal, because before the red card, arsenal were the better team. I'm NOT saying they would have won, but they played better until that point, then well... you know what happened. I don't think people give Arsenal enough credit. They always turn up to these games.
