German newspaper Bild have delved into whether Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler, for so long linked with Arsenal, will join Bayern Munich this summer, in a special report. There have been a number of suggestions that Bayern blocked Arsenal’s deal for Draxler during the January transfer window and Bild confirm that the young attacking midfielder has spent a lot of time in Munich of late. Bild confirm that Bayern have been in contact with Draxler’s agent Roger Wittmann, who also represents Rafinha who plays for the German champions. Bild add that Pep Guardiola sees Draxler as a potential replacement for either Arjen Robben or Franck Ribery, who are both getting on in age.
