No it isn't. It's a country with its own constitution but the United Kingdom handles the foreign policy. It used to be Spanish Castillian from 1462–1704, before that it was under Muslim rule and before that it was Vandals/Roman/Carthaginian/Phoenician. This idea that it somehow belongs to Spain because they owned it at some point is ridiculous, because it seriously is one of the most contested pieces of rock in Europe.

Everyone but Spain and you disagrees.
Weirdly enough Spain and Gibraltar couldnt be in the same group do to political rasons. The same was with Azerbaijan and Armenia.
There is no thread for the EURO 20016 qualification isn´t it?
20016 qualification is a looong way away, no need for thread (hehe, just kidding)
Portugal, France and Denmark... sigh -.-
I like Denmark, my girlfriend bought me a Danish national team jersey when she went to visit her grandma in Silkeborg over the summer. Shame only one team can get third place.

Yeah, we were in a group with Italy and Croatia for the world cup qualifiers... not fun at all
If you just look at rosters, we and Netherlands are clearly favorites. Turkey always had problems to playing as team so i wouldnt be surprised if we qualify as 3rd
Lol this Swansea game is awesome haha. 2-0 down and playing better football. Then boom Shelvey wonder goal and all of a sudden 2-2! Thought this game would be a high scoring one and well its going to be!

It's ok. We're also not happy with the group either. We do have semi-positive record with Italy, but the group is really hard.

Dude i am German we are preparing for the 3012 Curling World Cup right now. Thinking ahead is everything .
It is so dumb that there is no pre elimination for this. With first, second, and the best third making it for sure and the other thirds playing playoffs there will be so many meaningless games.
I hope Hungary makes it, 60 years ago they had one of the greatest teams if not the best ever. It would be 20 years since they last qualified for a big tournament.

Well, the spanish (right) government of course disagrees. But almost nobody in Spain will tell you that Gibraltar is spanish. Everyone will tell you that it is Britain.
I personally don't see any problem. Gales, Scotland, etc have their selection, so why not Gibraltar?
