Yes they are physical because of Kompany Yaya and Fernandinho however, they play 4-4-2 the midfield will get overrun by Barcelona and other teams, the reason they concede goals is due to them playing 4-4-2. That being said, they are too strong going forward and i can see them scoring vs Barca. It is whether Barca can outscore them too.

Who could ManU realistically get that would help them in January? If Rooney and Van Persie get back to fitness Utd will have a reasonable chance of challenging for the a Champions League slot and then Mr Moyes will have to do some work over the summer to make them more competitive next year. My main worry for ManU is they are just not exciting to watch at the moment. They need to keep people coming and filling those 75k seats or they are going to find it even harder to pay back the debt the Glazers blessed the club with in exchange for the privilege of buying the club sitting on the board do nothing except awarding themselves a multimillion pound a year salary.

Look who beated Barca in CL in a 2 game leg the past years, it was Chelsea, Bayern and Inter, all these teams basically with the same methode by making the field small, be physical and disciplined in defending. If you can do this 3 things and still be able to apply pressure and be dangerous you have a pretty good chance of beating barca. Thats why i think ManCity can be very dangerous because they have a team that is very similar to the other three. Also Barca is still too one dimensional with his roster. I read somewhere that tanks beat Barcelona, not Ferrari's. If you look at the past Mourinho teams of Chelsea and Inter you see a tall, strong and dominating midfield and defense. It's the dominating presence of Makelele-Essien-Lampard that shuts down a team and leaves it to swashbuckling playmakers (Joe Cole/Duff) as well as magical 'all I need is one opening' strikers like Drogba/Milito to finish them off. You get players like Matic that can dominate midfield, go forward and back, make the big plays. And you cut down on the Mata's because at the end of the day you are building a tank, not a Ferrari. To beat a team that has perfected the ball possession type of total football you need to create a team that is perfect off the ball. That's why only Chelsea and Inter were the only teams that could take Barcelona to the limit and win. You can run as many circles as you like around a tank with your Ferrari, but at the end of the day the tank will fuck you up. All that's missing now is a magical striker (not Torres) and replacements for Terry and Lamps. Next year... oh boy ![]()

Let me say you a funny thing: Turkish Football association's chairman is Yildirim Demirören, who was the chairman of Besiktas when the match-fixing happened. You know Besiktas is involved to match fixing as well. We believe in Gianni Infantino though. I assume that Fenerbahce is ready for him. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I get that Wenger was right insisting there are very few players who could fight for a place in the Arsenal XI, hence not buying anyone till Ozil. But I think there are players in all of the top 1/3 of PL clubs that are better than Cleverly, let alone foreign clubs. I said this last year about Cleverly and someone called me out for being an idiot on here. Cleverly has no creativity, he misses simple opportunities and provides no upside over anyone else in the already poor Utd. midfield. He's probably fantastic in training if he continually earns time after how poor he's been in games.
