And seriously whoever thinks Martinez is a bigger asset than Toure needs their head examined.

I understand you have a different opinion, but your way of ruling out all other opinions is just laughable. Also , if you had read everything you would know that we were talking about the defensive capabilities.

And Nasser is the president, not the sheikh. Wow Skysports so much fail. You're right. This rumour of PSG wanting to buy Messi has been launch by the catalan paper "Sport", wich is as much reliable as the horoscope. All the papers in europe took this false info and quoted it, this quickly became "PSG try to buy Messi for 250M". I will tell you guys what was the real words of the PSG president, because i followed this press conference in live. He said "Thiago Silva stays with us for sure, but we follow some Barca players". Feel free to think about it, never trust a rumor, 99% of them are false.

What a bizarre set of opinions (imo). Firstly, the first thing you should want is for the new manager to bring in previous personnel who he KNOWS are of top quality. This often yields great results. Secondly, Fellaini is the exact sort of player Man U have been missing for a long time now. Thirdly, what the hell has happened to peoples' memories? Did you guys not see Fellaini's performance and goalscoring record in the PL in the last two seasons? The guy has been playing insanely good, far better than Dembele who has been lauded as a top quality player and a great signing. He is a goalscoring CDM with range. Basically Viera with a fro. Disciplinary record schmisciplinary record...he's better than Suarez!! In terms of Zaha, who cares about Zaha, he won't get more than a handful of games in man U he should be loaned out to Fulham or Southampton or something. Fellaini isn't a young signing and obviously Baines isn't. He's an experienced player who would teach the younger players an INCREDIBLE work ethic. He's one of the best and hardest workers in English football and if it weren't for the fact that arguably the best LB in the world is playing for England already, he would be a certified starter for the national team come rain or shine. Baines is a waste of money. Yes hes better than evra but hes not young enough or a big enough upgrade(not saying he isn't a big upgrade on evra just not enough). Evra is good enough and with the young prospects coming through, splashing out on baines is just spunking money where it doesn't need to be spunked. Fellaini is not the exact sort of player we need at all. He's got issues on field which doesn't fit with the utd ethos, and not as skilled as rooney, keano or cantona to make up for it before you cite them. What we need is someone who dictates the play and holds the ball very well. Fellaini is good in defence, when we have a good defence already, and scores good highlight goals, but we already have a very good striking force, we don't need a goalscorer from midfield. He such an "english" type of midfielder, strong, scores, unintelligent(in a play sense), looks for the holywood pass instead of the smart one. What we need is a thiago, intesta, xavi, ces, someone who passes very well, doesn't loose the ball, holds the ball up well, can take on their man (except xavi lol), plays intelligently, has vision. I don't know much about the German midfield attributes so im sorry if i didnt mention them. He is overrated because he scores a lot of good goals for a midfield player, which lies the problem. Theres no doubt he'd be brilliant in certain world class teams, team where players can pick up the slack, dictate the play for him, and keep possession and make the smart passes he cant, so that he can be an goal threat that the other team has to worry about. But thats not what utd need, we need a scholes. Scholes couldn't tackle, felliani can well, but he could dictate the game like a god. The only thing in common is that they score a lot of goals for a midfielder, but he's never going to be scholes' replacement.

Benteke extends his contract with Villa through 2017. It's for the best (btw suck it Spurs). Wouldn't be surprised if it has some form of release clause eventually.

Okay I don't know why Fellaini would be a last resort. His position is the ONLY ONE you don't have quality in!!!!! And he's cheap as chips AND the manager knows him and can get the best out of him AND he wants to move there. Why just some random player like strootman when you could get a proven thoroughbred for bargain basement price?! He's as valuable as Toure but cheaper and younger. Cesc and Thiago are far less needed than Fellaini. Kagawa, Nani, Young, Zaha (edit: okay maybe not zaha on this list owing to my later comments ![]() Zaha just isn't good enough to take a place off Valencia or Nani, or Young. He's slower with less team sense and way too little experience. Regarding LB - play fabio RB, ship evra to PSG for a tasty fee, and use buttner as understudy to Baines, who will get the entire defensive line focused and be a good role model for Jones. zaha isnt any ronaldo in terms of speed, but at least he has shown that he has the skills to beat his man. if youve watched valencia and nani in the past seasons, you would know that theyve put on too much weight to just outrun their opponent anymore. valencia hardly gets past anyone now, and nani still has consistency problems to make him a regular. cesc and thiago arent in the same group as these guys anyway, we want them so they can hold the ball for us. this is also the reason why fellaini isnt the best option, he doesnt play like a spaniard. cant make passes/hold possession. he might do what park used to do so well, win balls off players in the midfield, but other than that he doesnt really add much to the team as we are already strong in other departments.

And Tito Vilanova finally made the right call. That damn cancer pretty much destroyed his chances to give absolute 100% to the team anyway. Last year, he tried to be both manager and oncology patient at the same time and apparently, his success was limited on both areas. Time to step up and fight the disease without extra burden on his shoulders. Any ideas who might be Barca's new manager?
