Playing without a real defensive midfielder hurts them a bit too. The first 20 minutes were completely dominated by Espanyol.
Unfortunately, I don't see this Espanyol scoring tonight, except for an individual exploit from their striker x) Probably a 2 or 3-0 for RM after they manage to put the 1-0.
edit: There goes the 0-1! Pepe with a header! Nice free kick by Modric after a stupid foul from Espanyol :s
Yeah, Madrid look uninspiring.

According to a russian source Matic joins Chelsea on Tuesday for 35 Million Euros.
|
Wasn't Matic a Chelsea player originally?
|
Benfica got him through David Luiz's transfer a few years ago.
|
so games to watch: Sassuolo - Milan, Stoke - Liverpool.
|
That's fair then. I'm guessing it looked like a good piece of business from Chelsea using an "inexperienced midfielder" to lower the price of one of the biggest defensive talents in the world. Must sting though to have to buy that same midfielder back for 35 million.

It's 25 million, not 35.

Dat sassuolo guy seems promising, only 19 years old.
Apparently Ribery told L'equipe(spelling?) "I've done anything I could this year, cristiano always scores many goals but messi is the best player each year, he just was unlucky with injuries past season" or something to that extent, .

he's said that he has done anything he can do to win the award, messi is the best player in the world, christiano will always score many goals
Ribery is saying if anyone has a chance to dethrone these two, its him this year. But its still difficult to do so even with a perfect year

See, even the players themselves know who's the best, I remember a similar quote from sneijder in 2010 award.
|
Oddsmakers have Ronaldo winning basically a given at this point.
|
He brought his whole family to the gala. Last time he didn't even come, so yeah it's pretty sure xD Tonight Florentino, As and Marca are going to congratulate themselves for this successful propaganda :D

PT papers say 25 Million Euros for Matic (I was hoping some Chelsea youngster would be included so that we could develop him and sell him later for another 20+M€), and a combined 50 Million Euros (can't possibly be true) from Zenith St. Petersburg for Garay (half owned by Real Madrid) and Rodrigo.
