Sporting will only sell William Carvalho to interested English clubs for €30m (£24.8m).
I've been hearing sick things about this player, but why hasn't he made more caps for Portugal?
Short answer: he's only 21.
Long answer: Sporting have been a train wreck until collapsing financially last year. After investing in a lot of foreign players, they had to sell practically all of them and start playing with home-grown players. Having perhaps one of the top 3 academies in the world, it turned out that most of these players were actually pretty good. William Carvalho at 21 turned out to be one of the stars in the Portuguese league this year after coming back from loan in Cercle Brugge last year.
Portuguese news is claiming Rodrigo could be on the way to Zenith St. Petersburg for... 35 Million Euros.
I see so he wasn't given the chance before this year. Funny how similar Sporting is to Feyenoord, both teams were spending on expensive players only to find out to have a youth academy filled with amazing players. Although Sporting's spending doesn't make sense to me, I think they were always known as Portugal's best youth academy.
Apparently Real Sociedad have rejected a €15m bid from Arsenal for Antoine Griezmann.
I'd be pretty happy if the club end up signing him. He's a huge talent, only 22, and it's only a matter of time before he moves to a bigger club. This is as good a time as any to snatch him up.

Just look at those stats. Gosu player and will probably grow to be even better.
Both messi and neymar will come in as subs tomorrow. Atletico has 1 hour to make shit happen. Although everyone plays fine atm, I think even without them barca will win.
Barcelona vs Atletico matches are famous for the unusual amount of goals and some epic and very tied games.
I have seen in their matches three 4-3, various 4-2, a 5-3, a 3-3, etc. The last I remember was the 4-3 (Atletico win) in the 08-09, it was an awesome and recommendable match. Specially the legendary "cup" match with a final 5-4 score, the same year that Ronaldo was in Barcelona and won the "Golden Ball" . I still don't understand how all this last two decades Atletico have played so well sometimes against Barça and so bad against Real Madrid, when RM it is supposed to be their main rivalry
I don't think we will see tomorrow so many goals, but I hope so.
Leicester Vs Derby is getting of to a pretty high tempo start. I enjoy these occasional weekday Championship games. How crazy would it be for the East midlands of the three promoted teams to the premier league next year where to be Leicester City, Derby County and Nottingham Forrest? I’m sure QPR and Burnley will do their best to stop that happening.
Orlando City SC announced Friday that Midfielder Kevin Molino will mark the club’s first-ever Major League Soccer (MLS) signing for the inaugural 2015 season.
Chelsea showing the machine prowess of a Mourinho team....at the business end of the season, 4 wins in 4 in the premier league, 16points out of 18 over the xmas period. Look at Arsenal and City we are coming
