Both inter and rm were horrible thug teams set to injure their opponents, that's a shame given the players he had.

Imagine a Coke spot on the beach for the World Cup in december. Also it lowers the value of sponsorship in the countries that are watching. Public viewing in January? I don´t think so. Its just messed up overall. Australia was denied mainly because it is too hot in summer and now its suddenly no problem? Also it will be an overall fu**ed up season because, depending on the date, you have to split the national leagues. So CL Ro8 in October and Ro4 in May? But hey its 8 years until this and who knows which kind of "democracy" is in Qatar in 2022. Wait really? Do they not know that their summer is our winter and viseversa.

American sports' commissioners also serve for long times and I don't know if that translates to corruption often or not, at least on the surface it seems they have better governance set up.

The voters are public and show that Blatter didn't vote for Qatar. Blatter has also been the biggest criticizer of the Qatar world cup.

![]() It's all a front it has to be, if he disliked it so much when they knew they couldn't host a summer world cup they should of had their rights taken away. But there not, the whole world of football is adapting to suit them which is not how it works >.<

- Two months of football will have to be cut out of club fixtures, which is already a problem. - Players will come to Qatar distracted by unfinished league/cup business. - Players will have instructions to save legs/avoid fight as they will be needed later during the season. - Clubs opportunity to do moneymaking winter tours will be destroyed. - La Liga will finish in July, which will make Sevilla, Malaga, Almeria and Granada home games unplayable due to the heat. - Newborn World Cup stars will join big clubs in winter, without the chance to work through summer in new club. - No more outdoor fanzone kibitzing and fiestas after success (except tropical countries). I could probably find some more reasons, but I feel that I've made my point.

One can say what they want about Blatter, but I would much rather have a guy who wasn't easily swayed by money regardless of what people say (Brazil & South Africa aren't exactly money trees) then a guy who quite clearly profited from the Qatar vote.

I guess we will never know due to so much problems in the organizations. Platini is a big of a douche as Blatter is imo so if they are both as big of douches as eachother and Platini is going to take over from Blatter oh god we might as well just give up on football.

My hope is that the English, Spanish and German FA do something as these are the only governing bodies I would reckon are more powerful than the FIFA if they combined.

I mean footballers in the UK player on Boxing Day then the next 3 days until FA Cup 1st weekend in January. Will the world cup do the same or will it be a break in the middle of a world cup for Xmas and New Years?? National leagues can take a break for the World Cup. The NHL does it for the Winter Olympics every 4 years. Dortmund do have the potential to almost match Bayern's financial strength given continued success, but for that they need to hold on to key players. They won't lose Reus anytime soon and losing Lewandowski was to be expected and is not that important in my opinion. But losing Götze was a major blow to their chances, and losing Gündogan will be another one. ? Bayern is one of the most financially successful clubs in the world. There's no way Dortmund will be anywhere close to matching them any time soon. Two German titles and a CL finals run don't take you from "small club that just came back from bankruptcy" to "European financial juggernaut". I agree that you can't blame Bayern for being so good at making money (although it is pretty shady that they consistently buy out their opponent's best players), but at the same time their financial success makes every other German club look like a joke and also prohibits other German clubs from being as financially successful. It's completely killing competition, and in a league that's supposed to be a top European league, that's a big problem. However, I don't think that the DFB can do anything about it; if they did, it would hurt German clubs in the CL. The only way to fix it is to have some kind of salary cap that was applied to all UEFA teams. Of course, it's doubtful that this would happen (fat chance that the big money clubs would let their dominance get broken up), but that's just the big downside to the world of football.

Yeah no offense but that is one league...compared to EVERY league in Europe lol xD Plus its the effect that has, it might be that the teams play before the start of their regular season, or the play a season longer. Thus players are actually more tired. Also like wingpawn said if you start playing into summer months in some European countries your going be playing in very hot temperatures. Also it effects everything like Europe cup competitions, champions league starts in July as it is for its early rounds to be complete before the actual tournament starts, same with Europa League. They going to start in June? Or May? Then do we have a knock out stage before the world cup or do we just have less time in between breaks from knock out games after the world cup. Do we then mess up all the scheduled cup competitions in the domestic leagues because of this making them have to play EVEN longer. Also it isn't a big deal to Europe but to South America the club world cup in Decemeber time won't happen either which again messes that scheduling up. LOL would be funny that. Louis Van Gaal in charge of UEFA haha /sign me up ![]()

Everyone here agrees half the fun of the World Cup is watching it outside at some terrace, with a beer, maybe at the beach. In winter, alone at home, when I can play videogames or read a good book? I won't watch most of the games lol
