Of course....but thats not "scouting" thats your press going crazy like ours do when they know a team is in the transfer market and has lots of monies. Chelsea been linked with Rooney since Mourinho arrived again, as soon as he handed in his transfer request according to Fergie, Chelsea PSG and Real Madrid became the favorites to sign him, then since Mourinho conference in Thailand the reports Chelsea are favorites for him came about (week ago). Now the club confirmed a bid for the player yesterday (today) etc. Yeah im sure your club just wanted another forward, and took Cavani. If you were to buy Rooney too i would seriously just QQ. Of course Chelsea went a bit "ham" at the start, HOWEVER, since the start of our tenure we have been growing our image so that we can get own stability in terms of revenue to out goings on transfers etcetc. Then 3-4 years ago FFP rules came in and we tried even harder to stick to the rules given to us and the rest of the footballing world, however now Platini seems to be squirming his way out of it as clubs he "likes" are going to be hit the most or have just been taken over etc. He was soon to jump on Man City to say they are going to "look" into the rulings of sponsorship deals from parent companies that own clubs. In other words your owners business can't sponsor your club and chuck in ridiculous money to balance the books. (What PSG are trying to do as well?) If PSG Man City Monaco actually look like they want to do it properly then i have no problem, but at the moment none of the 3 teams are looking to just buy a lot of players for reasonable prices, they are buying few players for over exaggerated prices | ||
