The Netherlands is because we need to enter the top 7 on the FIFA rankings to become a group head and not end up in another group of death

That didnt save you last year

Last year they got screwed because Euro had two host countries and only four in top1, WC has more in top1

I'm sure it will be I remember the "home" game in the Netherlands and you guys were making more noise than the home support. Admittedly the dutch home support isn't really great, too many peeps completely uninterested in football.

Idd, being top 2 means very little if the only top nation you miss out on is Spain.

In our home game there were more Turks in the stadium than Dutch.

God, 1 more game and Iceland could be going to WC :D That'd be amazing. Hopefully Swiss just wins Slovenia and takes the effort off us to have to win Norway

Neymars goal so good. Too bad the rest of the game he sucked, granted we were very rough on him. Korea doing a lot better than i originally thought we would.

It's hard to tell from that angle, but from the angle used by korean tv, the goalkeeper could have done a much better job on that goal. That's always been his problem. He's big as fuck, but has no reflexes.

Overall, i'm pretty pleased with how the team is doing except we really need to take Ji dong won off. He single-handedly killed like 2-3 counterattacks by himself. PUT IN SON HEUNG MIN!!!

Yeah i agree ji dong won needs to get his shit together. Son would be perfect atm, need some speed and someone who can think quickly. Not too impressed with koo either but overall the team is looking good

Dont get why our coaches still refuse to use son as a striker. He plays on the wing for club but hes still easily better than any of our current forwards..

Here is the angle from behind the goal.

God korean football so frustating. No one has the balls to just go for a shot and instead they keep looking for impossible opportunities

Yeah, it was ki sung yong. He's so good at keeping the ball and passing, as he showed in this game, but he always does some dumb shit like this in every game and gives up a goal. I remember in qualifying when he just stopped tracking back and let this midfielder run past him and score a goal. He has all the talent in the world, but his attitude isn't right. There was the incident where he talked shit to our past manager on his private facebook account, which is a big no-no in korea considering the manager was like 40 years older. and he's said numerous times he never really loved playing football.

Otherwise, i'm still pretty satisfied with the game. We found a really good defensive midfielder in han kook young. He looked useless in qualifying because the middle eastern teams would just try to defend and counter, but he showed that against world class opposition, he is very useful. He actually took the ball away from neymar on three different occasions, which was great

Really hope Park chu young goes to loan to wigan so he can actually start playing football and get called back up to the national team. Korea desperately needs someone like him. I'd play son heung min up top, but he hasn't played there in like three years(quite a long time considering he is 21), and cannot hold the ball up well at all.

Impressed by the hong myung bo's ability to get our team to actually play competent defense. Our past two managers' teams would probably have given up like 4 goals

our past managers were retards seriously. regardless of whether or not the last manager was 40 yrs older or not, i thought ki's fb thing was justified. korea needs to start getting its retarded age/seniority bullshit fixed, its an ancient system and isnt good for anyone.
and rather than the wall being bad it was just the gk being slow. maybe if the wall was slightly more forward ki's jump would have mattered but at that distance it looked like the ball went well over ki as well anyway.
if son stops being so greedy and the rest of the team starts being a little more greedy i think korea will do ok. we definitely didnt get enough shots on goal considering the amount of mistakes brazil made around the box
