And Columbia have qualified for Brazil after erasing a 3-0 deficit against Chile. Wow. Really poor first half from the USA. Luckily Jamaica can't create chances for crap.

They said during the game that the USA are going to play a friendly with Austria next month. I hope they play somewhere near me so I can see David Alaba.

Tomas Boy on ESPN slamming Vucetich's selection. Boy questioning where the creative spark will come from if Panama doesn't make a mistake. Average age of Mexico's starting XI is 26.2. Vucetich has opted for a younger team, leaving Chaco, Lobos, Salcido and Torrado on the bench.

Benching Salcido was one of the best things he could've done and did it. Our holding mids are really mediocre at the moment so Zavala over Torrado is no big deal (Zavala adds much needed height). The biggest flaw right now is throwing Aquino on the left and Dos Santos on the right. Our backs are way too hesitant to try that kind of play and it doesn't help that for some reason Aquino is nowhere near as comfortable cutting in from the left even though he has skill and the ball ends up on his good foot. I expect Lobos in the 2nd half.

England bossed that game; could've been 5-0 by half-time if we'd taken our chances better. It's good to see us getting a result we deserve for once, even if - England being England - the scoreline was closer than it should've been. That's exactly my point though. Any top international team would have won that game 5/6-0 at least. In the end it was much closer than it needed to be. We need to start taking our chances, or we will never do well in any tournament. The team selection was poor, the tactics were cringeworthy, but some of our players played well. Sturridge played absolutely terribly, constantly trying things that he was unable to pull off properly, but Townsend was good, as was Rooney. Baines and Walker also played well. When i say that England are shit, i basically mean that they could be alot better if they were set up correctly, and some fo the players had the right attitude.
