NFL does stop a lot, but when you are used to it you realise this just makes it better. It's all about the coordinators and head coach who are designing 'plays' which are the routes everyone will run when the game restarts. NFL is definitely more explosive, it's kind of obvious. There are like 4 ronaldos on every team! The difference for most American sports is that every single second matters. A lot. Contrast this to soccer, where there's a huge amount of time wasted with arguing, throw-ins, dives, or people just taking their time/sitting on the ball, and that's where a lot of American fans get annoyed. Don't get me wrong, I love soccer even more than I love hockey, and I fucking hate how commercialized most American sports are (did you know that those breaks that the NFL takes are for the sole purpose of airing commercials on TV?), but the excitement level for the NFL is WAY higher than it is for soccer on any given play because every second really does matter in the NFL. I wish that American sports had some kind of penalty for poor performance, like relegation. It makes the league and the sport look bad when teams like the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills can suck every single year and then be rewarded with financial stability and higher priority access to the new talent entering the league. I think that this would be really awesome as well, as it would make it so that the end of the season is interesting for every team involved, but we don't have the setup for that. American leagues are way different than European soccer leagues. In Europe, teams are autonomous entities that participate in the BPL/Bundesliga/etc., and earn the right to participate in X tier. In (for example) the NFL, the teams literally ARE the NFL, and there aren't other teams or organizations out there to support a promotion/relegation system. Not only that, the system for new talent (collegiate athletes) doesn't really lend itself to a promotion/relegation system.

I'll be watching Julian Draxler closely. They hail him a new superstar, and it's like the first time I'm seeing him live. Paused the stream for 60 seconds, it went from 0-0 to 0-1. Another 60 seconds and it goes from 0-1 to 0-2 o_O.

Even the goal was ugly. They just stuffed the ball in after missing 2 times.

WHY ON EARTH would you not play Mata? same reason why man utd hasnt bought a player who could make the final pass in the last few years. the manager thinks the team doesnt need it

Chelsea get out of there mini crap form with a scrappy 2-0 win. Had moments of nice passing, but not enough, again kept the ball well though. We seem at the moment not good enough/confident enough to beat teams who play 10men behind the ball and try counter. Btw, Swindon vs Chelsea in carling cup is going to be HILARIOUS, the most likely team i see us playing; Schwarzer Azpilicueta Luiz JT/Cahill Bertrand Lampard VanGinkel Willian Mata DeBruyne Torres/Ba LOL going be hilarious that ^_^ On September 22 2013 03:11 DarkLordOlli wrote: Holy shit Mikel scored a goal. Honestly against these kind of teams there is no reason to not play both Oscar and Mata. That should give you more than enough creativity from midfield to beat them and Ramirez has enough enough stamina to handle the defensive side.
