The problem is the style of defending Barcelona worships. They play very far forward from penalty area, but are fairly poor at setting up offside traps and more often than not, play one-on-one marking game without insurance defenders behind them. Also, their policy is to always pass the ball out of defence; sending it on the orbit is prohibited, regardless of danger. That way, one screw up always results with huge trouble and whenever there's not enough pressure on opponents' midfielders who are running with ball, the chance of a blunder becomes insanely high. Puyol used to be the one who had perfect skills at crap control, but he isn't aging well. And with Valdes reportedly leaving after this season, this issue should soon haunt them even more. | ||

 There's just no way a 35 year old can keep pace with world class athletes in their twenties.That said - Barca need a speedy "oh shit" defender. Masch was supposed to be that guy but he's more of a CDM, a lot of his challenges are the type that leave you wishing there was a back line behind him for safety. | ||

Busquets himself said after the match that they love attacking too much. On the last minutes they could have kept the ball patiently instead of going for the third goal with like 6+ men. Masche is a boss and today he proved it again xD Also all the derps who cry La Liga is boring after Barça destroys some bad team need to stfu so bad lol. Two weeks ago one of the best football games this year against Valencia (displayed better football than Bayern vs Chelsea) and this one today. | ||
