Good game between Monaco and Marseille yesterday, with Monaco taking it 2-1: Lucas MENDES (OM 43'), Radamel FALCAO (ASM 47'), Emmanuel RIVIERE (ASM 79').
Monaco looked really strong, good ball movement, very calm and in control of the game, which is quite impressive considering that they just bought most of their team. Marseille was missing their (should be) best players: Payet, Valbuena, Gignac (by that I mean that they were on the field and didn't do much), but still managed to look strong and dominate most of the first half.
47 - Mesut Ozil has laid on 47 assists in La Liga since joining Real Madrid. No-one has more in that time (level with Messi). Creator.

Özil is indeed a very talented player, but in nowadays football, I'm not sure if he can be a GREAT player. He obviously has the skills to give wonderful passes but he isn't that good at pressuring the ball and is very irregular. He was in the starting 11 in Madrid because there was no other choice, but now that there is Isco, it's not a surprise to see him warm the bench...
Since when was it necessary to be a good pressuriser of the ball to be GREAT? Messi Ronaldo Ibrahimovic are all 100% focused on offense and they are the 'great' players around nowadays. With the exception of Iniesta/ Xavi, few attacking players are called 'great' because they are alert defensively and press well - I'll grant you that those abilities are always praised and appreciated but they are not the be all and end all. For attacking players, the bottom line is can you create goals.
Last CL winners were all defensive hardworkers... There's no miracle, when you play against Bayern/Dortmund/Barça/RM you have to give EVERYTHING during 95mn. Özil just cannot, and that's a problem. Every player in his position in the big teams are doing defensive work, and being a Barça fan I was very disappointed to see Iniesta doing less and less effort on that aspect, and for me it was one of the reason we couldn't win big games.
Not to mention that he hasn't been good in any big games he has played in his career...

4-3-1-2 Be the formation id play Man Utd with Rooney being able to drop deeper than Kagawa if needed. But yeah it is very silly, poor guy been treated really badly at old trafford
47 assists since joining real madrid same as Messi, i see that as being worth the "not pressing" lol. I mean play him off Giroud or even just as an attacking mid and play Cazorla deeper.
Just think...Ramsey or Ozil. It's EASY DECISION fuck Ramsey XD But still he is going to Man Utd according to my sources ^_^ So wont be your problem Arsenal :D

Just saw on eurosport that apparently PSG outbid Arsenal for Özil. 2 more years and PSG opens clubs in England and Spain because they have too many players for too few spots.
Wheres Germany reporting he is going to choose? Im sure Die Bild will have the best information on this being it's a German player being involved? (Ozil that is)

doesnt work with the amount of wingers we have though
giroud cazorla----özil-----walcott if özil works out and giroud keeps scoring, arsenal could put up a fight with city and chelsea for the title. sucks that we cant see them in action next weekend cause of the boring ass world cup quali.
